Redick averaged 9.6 PPG last season and 7.5 PPG in the playoffs. Thats a career best for him. You were saying if Redick shot 15 times a game he would average around 33 points. That means he'd have to make 11 out of 15 shots, and they'd all have to be 3's. Excluding FT's. Considering he averages 1.8 FT attempts per game in his career.

His shots won't improve if they have the same amount of stars on the team that demand the ball more.

@jbeaman848 dwight howard has no real offense. he has no post or go to moves. the offense is about playing in and out, but dwight doesnt have a real post game, so the orlando offense is shooters hitting medium to long shots. they dont have consistent shooters, that come up big in playoff games. the only other player on that roster that plays d besides dwight is brandon bass. there a good regular season team but when the floor shrinks and slows down in the playoffs they will loose like last year

Redick is a pure shooter. He played great in Duke's system, too bad they didn't teach him defense or layups. He'll get broke and air ball layups in the NBA. Chris Paul was a beast, nobody watches college ball until the draft comes up.

But your attempts to points ratio theory has no truth to it. If he went to the Bulls, he'd be doing the same thing he is doing in Orlando. Just because a guy shoots more, doesn't mean his points will go up twice as much.

Redick averaged 9.6 PPG last season and 7.5 PPG in the playoffs. Thats a career best for him. You were saying if Redick shot 15 times a game he would average around 33 points. That means he'd have to make 11 out of 15 shots, and they'd all have to be 3's. Excluding FT's. Considering he averages 1.8 FT attempts per game in his career.

@shbshb906 Even with more minutes he is Orlando's 4th or 5th option of all the players that are on the floor. Howard, Nelson, Lewis, and Carter will all get more shots. Pietrus might still get more shots this year. His role on the team is a spot up shooter, and a guy that plays hard, hustle guy. His shots won't improve if they have the same amount of stars on the team that demand the ball more.

@northcarolinaname what I'm trying to say is that jj reddick is what, a 6'4 shooting guard ? He's playing against guys like 6'6 so its harder to get shots of and what not. Plus the guys are quicker and more physical. I mean durant made up for his weakness with his length. Kevin durant could be matched up with Kevin durant and wouldn't get a shot of unless he got screens set for him like ray Allen does. That's all I'm trying to say.
