Ptolemaida translates in old Arbanitika-Albanian-Illyrian-Homerian language as follows, pot-te-lamaidus - po te le me hidh in the advanced Albanian which in English the exact translation would be "Taken without permition. And as all world knows there is another Illyrian Ancient City in Albania named Apollonia.

The site of Ptolemais is aprox 700 m x 700 m... but I have no idea about the size of Popeii !!! I think the bigest roman site in Libya is Leptis Magna (I have put 2 videos about it) and 2/3 of the site has not yet been explored!!!

I left Libya in 1979, and this video has brought back so many happy memories.
Grew up in Albiada, then moved to Benghazi. Hope you will post video's of Benghazi.
I just loved my childhood and growing up years in such a beautiful country.
Thanks for not letting memories fade!

there is only greek word Ptolemaida and it's from the Greek general from the army of Greek great Alexander Ptolemeos!
