It works with keys just like guitar (meaning it will auto harmonize by "reading' the keyboard chords. You could use it for karaoke if you programmed the music key ahead of time. Like a preset in the key of C or A or something. But the recording would need to be in exact tuning so your harmony would be in tune. I think it would be problems because the tuning wouldn't match all recordings.
Great demo, I've been looking around the net on this device and currently purchased the Live 5. Sounds like you need to set to chromatic harmony so you don't get that slide up to pitch robotic sound. Keep rockin'

Yep, Definitely. I usually have a mild compression, reverb, and sometimes delay. I toggle the harmony parts on during the chorus of the song.

Yes there is a guitar out, and some guitar effects can be in the presets too. I dont use them since I have an amp and pedals.
