easy star are OK as a band , But its a bit Dub lite. when i went to see them , i was expecting something with a alot of DUB .

but i got something as soft as Labi Siffre.

Oh i went to see them expecting them to punch the air with their fists screaming out Rastafari. Like some klaxon call to every Dread in a 100 mile radius. Ok yes it was reggae , But it was pretty white to the point that alot of it sounded like some sort of Novelty song sung by a Lounge singer that's down on his luck and thinks that taking a reggae route would pick up his career again. Easy are so soft that they would make the beatles Obla Dee Obla Da sound Punk :-)

Yeah i first heard about Dubside . And it was a brilliant effort at the Floyds album. I especially liked "On the Run" When it breaks into the Drum n bass section. I didnt like the dub stars version of Ok Computer .. But then again i dont much like Radiohead. So i dont know the album back to front which i can do for Floyds. The Beatles dub stars Pepper album.. Ive played 3 times, Most tacks dont wok for me Apart from "Within You Without You" But i prefer Sonic Youths version of that

I just wanted to let Karlosrules know that we are working on a remix of Dub Side and Scientist did work on one of the tracks, along with Mad Professor, Adrian Sherwood, Dreadzone and others...so look out for that one. Mad Professor also remixed two tracks for the Radiodread LP. As for the music and their "dubness" we have not stripped away most of the vocal, but the approach to the mixing is in true dub tradition. There are dub elements in every song.

Well, when I saw the Allstars in Whitby 2 years ago they were epic!. Looking forward to you guys at Glasto this year Eric. you are playing aren't you?

I know that there are elements of dub in each of the LP's but I think that if the albums were called "Reggae Side of the moon" and "Radioreggae" then they wouldn't have the same punch/pun as Dub and Dread.

Can't wait to get a copy of Sergeant Peppers. I'm from Liverpool, so I will be blasting it around my hometown for sure.
