  • Why are there so many who have not heard the Good News? Why are there so many different Religions?

  • This message is unbiblical, it does not line up with the teachings of Jesus and that of any of His apostles. Christianity is not about missions, it's about obeying Christ and living the Gospel; Christians emphasize too much on missions but they live a gospel that's conformed to the world. Jesus commanded only His disciples (not every single Christian) to go into the world and teach.

I didn't hear one Scripture ref. in this vid, neither did I find any common ground.

  • @MsShika1 Jesus commanded the disciples to go out and preach the gospel to all the nations and make new disciples. He then commanded them to teach them all "to obey ALL I have commanded you." The command to preach the gospel to all the nations is included in the "ALL" that the new disciples were expected to obey. This is why we still evangelize, baptize and teach today - because that's what it means to be a disciple.

  • @elderaps: I suppose that's the reason why false gospels have reached the ends of the earth. Christians want to spread the Gospel which they themselves find hard to live by, so they sugar-coat it so it doesn't bother their conscience, and hide their hypocrisy, widening the narrow gate and broadening the strait path.

  • @MsShika1 It's also the reason that the true gospel has begun to reach to the ends of the earth. Some Christians want to spread the true gospel and they don't sugar coat it.

  • @MsShika1 This message is thoroughly biblical. It's a 2 minute clip of a messgae, and you criticize it for not containing a scripture. LOL.

It's very clear that from the beginning of scripture God has been on a "mission" to redeem all peoples to himself, with a particular emphasis on nations (ethnos, ethnic groupings). Clearly this was passed to his followers at the great commission. Can you tell me why this would be only for his disciples, yet not being conformed to the world is for everyone?

  • LOL .. "If you don't have a global heart..." croons John Piper. Before we gain the "globe" we first ought to "love our neighbors as we do ourselves". Then there's the lack of "missions" being done by those who simply can't "put your arms around the nations" as Piper chimes. Like where do you fit in that jailed man or woman, of the paraplegic bound to a wheel chair, or better yet, where do you fit in the mission to be done by those stricken with down-syndrome, etc. don't they have a "soul" too?!?

  • minute 1:47 - what's wrong with a heart that desires to evangelise one's city? You can't do EVERYthing!

  • @Rhology If you desire to evangelise just one city, then you wont desire to evangelise other cities. But if you desire to evangelise other cities you are going to desire to evangelise every city and in every city you are, your are going to share the gospel. Not just the city you live but in every place you are. You are going to share and many may Know Him. :D

  • @hijadeDios91 Your comment is biased toward modern times. Most people in history have not had the opportunity to leave the geographic environs where they were born, b/c travel requires money, and most people in history are poor.

To say "you won't desire" is, I'm sorry to say, also bias on your part. How could you possibly know that about someone else? Where does the Bible say that?

  • @Rhology His point was you shouldn't desire to evangelize JUST one city. The great commission demands that we always have a worldwide element to our mission.

  • Amen

  • Romans 6:23

  • Missions exist because worship doesn't.
