Normally I side with my African Americans (I too am black), but this is totally a black thing. They knew it was a mistake but thought that "since it was posted" then they HAVE to honor it. None of them thought for a second that a real 52 inch flat screen was only $10. Not a single one of them. They just thought there was some loophole that would allow them to get it for that much. I saw it all the time when I worked in retail. Seriously fellow African Americans...you can do better than this.
I got that TV at Best Buy for $9.99. You see, I got there at 8:30am. When the manager opened the front door at 9am, he honored the mistake but said, "Just you. No one else." He then called the head office and alerted them to the mistake. He later thanked me for alerting him, saying "You saved Best Buy a lot of money. We really should just give you the TV." He handed me my money back and shook my hand. I was so happy that I gave hi the TV back. It was a very good day for everyone!

@meterodragonx2 and Stud002 it depends on the time of the year as to what time the stores open. During Christmas rush times (usually Oct 31. - January 3) they open earlier. (9:00am-11:00pm M-S, and 10am-8pm Sun.) The rest of the year (excluding Black Friday) They open later. (10:00am - 10:00pm M-F and 11:00am - 6:00pm Sun.) Thats beside the point These people shouldn't be mad about it. Mistakes happen... I mean seriously most of the people waiting there were probably mistakes themselves.

The whole issue could have come from the web master putting a ">" in the wrong place, and coming from someone who used to work for best buy, trust me when I tell you they'd prefer avoiding the conflict. Best Buy did this on purpose. How do you leave out 3 numbers from multiple sources? Why did it take them so long to change it? On top of this, when do corporate polices over rule laws against false/mislead advertising laws? People should file complaints with the FTC, AG's office, and then sue them for it.

@meterodragonx2 and Stud002 it depends on the time of the year as to what time the stores open. During Christmas rush times (usually Oct 31. - January 3) they open earlier. (9:00am-11:00pm M-S, and 10am-8pm Sun.) The rest of the year (excluding Black Friday) They open later. (10:00am - 10:00pm M-F and 11:00am - 6:00pm Sun.) Thats beside the point These people shouldn't be mad about it. Mistakes happen... I mean seriously most of the people waiting there were probably mistakes themselves.

I work at a Best Buy in a very white town and I can tell you, as being a white male myself, 40-50 year old white women are the worst customers I have all day.

I don't work at Best Buy anymore, I recently left, but I was working that day and had two ladies come in and tell me this. They were white, I'll just throw that in there. I mean are you people whack? It was ORIGINALLY a $3500 tv, onsale for $1500. Someone probably typed in the wrong sku number trying to fix a price, and didn't realize it. My managers were not going to honor that price, and Best Buy as a company is NOT obligated to do so. It's pathetic people actually expected us to match it!
