Wow. I'm not even sure what to say... This car is just plain freakin' amazing. I have a 4G Eclipse GS that I want to turbo, but the v6 sounds and runs like a much bigger engine than it really is. I've seen the other video of this car at the track, it's one of my favorites on YouTube.

Talked with RRE about a possible turbo kit for the V6 motors. Not gonna happen unless if one plans to make that car into a full felged race/track car. Also, just found out that there is no muffler on there at all. That's why that Eclipse is loud and burly as hell.

Respectfully disagree... This eclipse is a bit faster than the current EVO X.... Its bumped over 320 HP and 0-60 Would approx be 4.5 With the weight.

I saw a vid of what this has in it. I gotta say the 4G eclipse is amazing looking no matter what anyone says.. S-AWD and the SST clutch would have sold this car left and right. They were aiming at 250,000 eclipses sold for this generation, but they destroyed that number by 107% according to mitsubishi representatives. So look forward to a promising new gen this year, i bet my money on it that it has the SST clutch. Every other mitsu car has it now. Why not their sport line? As for AWD... HOPE

The Car Weighs 2900 Pounds... Thats 700 Less than stock.. And has 370 HP.. Calculating that time into a 0-60 with FWD is 4.2 Seconds. I bet its below the 0's knowing first hand what the eclipse can do regarding its FWD layout. Now thing of the superchargers that put this vehicle over the 500 HP line. I agree with you that the EVO is the one to lead the pack when it comes to racing. But damnit, deep down inside we all want that CONCEPT RA to be real. :D You saw it right?

One more thing sorry, just have to spread this one out.. The Concept E which was the current Eclipse's concept, had 470 Hp and was AWD while having no more than 3000 pounds on it. Thats a 3.2 Sec car, faster than lambo, ferrari, name it. Now half the torque was electric powered, which is like diesel, which would make it a 3.0 sec car to the 60MPH.. Bugatti veryon which is a 1.5 Mil dollar car can do it in 2.5. Umm, given the right driver it would beat the veyron. Dream big :D

@bonds911 Don't count the eclipse gt out so quickly..stock evo Xs now barely push 300 and that 3.8L mivec is pushing 263 stock..add in headers, exhaust, intake and a tune to get it all in sync and you have just as much power. Add a RIPP mods stage 1 supercharger kit and you're well into the 300s.

My guess with the exhaust system is that they are running their headers (RRE short tube headers) along with the full 3in. Injen exhaust system and a test pipe. There are no internal upgrades as of yet so it can't be cams or pistons or anything of the sorts. I just hope that once my exhaust comes in for my 4G that it'll sound close to this one...after I get the RIppMods long tube headers that is.

i've had full exhaust on my 2000gt for about 4 months now ripp headers with hfc and invidia catback and it is so loud its annoying while driving i hope your ready for every person to notice you, that means cops too i love the sound but i wish it wasnt so loud
