I understand that people don't agree with the homosexual lifestyle. Mostly because they don't understand it. Being gay is comes just as natural as being heterosexual. What happened to living in the "land of the free"? What ever happened to civil rights? This issue is an indication of how ridiculous people's lack of civil responsibility. There's a war, there's the economy, there's the likes of Hurricane Katrina, and how does George Bush get elected? Thank God for Elizabeth Edwards! I wish more people shared her point of view.  I pray for a day when marriage is legal for every consenting adult, not just heterosexuals. It makes no sense that homosexuals can't marry, in this supposed land of the free. They are human beings like everyone else, they breathe the same air, they feel the same emotions and they are just as capable (if not moreso) of true and lasting love as hetero couples are, and it is a serious injustice to not allow it.

Thank you, Mrs. Edwards. --I appreciate her stating her mind, especially since I agree with her wholeheartedly. When the time comes for me to marry, I'm willing to move to any state OR any country that allows it. I'm sick of my own country treating me like a second class citizen.
