Obama has better debate skills than McCain, which doesn't effect ability to perform as a president. McCain knows this, so he wisely avoids an argument with him.
Both candidates are too nervous to rock the boat right now with the country so divided, so neither one wants to make quick remarks that could be taken differently (obama's lipstick on a pig, or number of houses mccains wife owns). They have rehearsed soooo much for this debate, they intentionally want to avoid saying any new information

Obama is so full of it. His plan is to give "working people" more money to spend on gasoline. He doesn't want to reduce prices, which would ultimately lead global deflation. He wants to give you more money, which means higher taxes and higher inflation. Gas is so high is because the democrats have passed policies and regulations making the switch to other resources way too expensive. People like Obama love the high prices because they get to blame everyone else for it, then promise answers.

Productivity isn't the same as job employment. Job employment is what a worker produce in $ per hour. It turns out that the productivity of the American worker is rather low. Apart from statistics you can judge this for yourself as well. A lot of Americans are forced to take more then one job to survive financially. McCain doesn't get economic issues, he said so himself. I think that economic knowledge is crucial for the next US president looking at the current economic meltdown.

OK, let me explain briefly the term Productivity: A factory produces 10.000 bottles of Coca Cola with 100 people that's 100 bottles per day per worker. Now a factory that produces 100 bottles with more people is less productive. The US economy is not sufficiently productive and therefore looses on several competitive battlegrounds. Moreover the country has trillions of debt, especially to the Chinese. 8 years under Bush has ruined the US economy and in 8/10 cases McCain supported the President.

But, it needs to be written up in a way that these big-shots can't personally benefit from it! This is like having to amputate your leg that's stuck under a fallen tree with a forest-fire fast approaching. This doesn't happen in countries like Canada for example. McCain's behavior was rude and unprofessional! I wanted to hear both candidates positions on various issues. McCain's frequent interuptions, cutting off Obama's 2min turn to speak, showed me that McCain's no Maverick. Furthermore I found his behavior disrespectful to voters who tuned in to hear both candidates. Obama extended the olive branch commenting/acknowledging on how McCain was right on various issues. What did the Republicans do, they shamelessly turned it around to use against Obama.
