cant tell u how happy i was to find this! im austrakian and i was at UM for one semester and i was at this game! me and some dude from iceland were there and he wanted to leave half way! (a shit load of ppl did leave) but i was nah dude we just need to score 2 touchdowns in this quarter then 2 in the 4th... and we did. when we got back to uni everyone was so jealous we saw it and the radio said it was one of the best games ever!! best 6 months of my life! fuckin luv miami... and hot US girls :)

Then Miami re-emerged in the early 2000s and FSU and UF took a step back. Then UF re-emerged in the mid-2000s and Miami took a step back. Let me see if I've got this straight: Urban Meyer instituted a no-tolerance policy regarding his players and violence against women. He said if any of his players are involved with mistreating a woman, they'd be kicked off.
I guess when you rank near the bottom in offensive production, its ok to make an exception to the no-tolerance policy? Chris Rainey gets charged with a FELONY, for outrageous conduct against a woman, and he'll be cleared to play vs UGA? So much for integrity and respect!

Meyer instituted a zero-tolerance policy where anyone found to have committed violence against a woman would be kicked off the team. @riseagainstmeatloaf Actually it was a busness move. After the 1987 season the SEC began to require all teams to play an 8 game SEC schedule instead of a 7 game schedule. Florida dropped Miami because it already had FSU every years OOC and wanted to schedule all home games the other 2 games(11 game schedule back then). Since Florida sells out every home game they lake to bring in a lesser team(generally) get a nice win and make money. Did not want to be locked in to go down to Miami every oth yr

Starting in 1988 the SEC required its schools to play 8 conference games(it was 7 before), Florida did not want to be locked into 2 OOC games of the 3 OOC games it was allowed. Florida kept FSU and got rid of UM. You do realize that Florida beat Miami 7 years in a row from 1971-1977, beat UM in 82, 83, 85. You are entitled to your opinion but it's not very educated.

cant tell u how happy i was to find this! im austrakian and i was at UM for one semester and i was at this game! me and some dude from iceland were there and he wanted to leave half way! (a shit load of ppl did leave) but i was nah dude we just need to score 2 touchdowns in this quarter then 2 in the 4th... and we did. when we got back to uni everyone was so jealous we saw it and the radio said it was one of the best games ever!! best 6 months of my life! fuckin luv miami... and hot US girls :)

Then Miami re-emerged in the early 2000s and FSU and UF took a step back. Then UF re-emerged in the mid-2000s and Miami took a step back. Let me see if I've got this straight: Urban Meyer instituted a no-tolerance policy regarding his players and violence against women. He said if any of his players are involved with mistreating a woman, they'd be kicked off.
I guess when you rank near the bottom in offensive production, its ok to make an exception to the no-tolerance policy? Chris Rainey gets charged with a FELONY, for outrageous conduct against a woman, and he'll be cleared to play vs UGA? So much for integrity and respect!

Urban Meyer gave his players second chances since he started coaching. Pretty sure Coach Bowden didn't call Meyer when he was coaching at Bowling Green.
The point is, no-tolerance means no-tolerance.

Meyer instituted a zero-tolerance policy where anyone found to have committed violence against a woman would be kicked off the team. Ah okay. Makes a bit of sense now. And yeah, I kinda miss the days when FSU and UF were always in the top 10, and the game had national title implications. BTW, I do pull for all teams in Florida (except I couldn't pull for Florida when Tebow was there). Since FSU has been doing poorly I've been a bit apathetic towards the whole thing. When FSU beats UF again (it'll happen, but I have no idea when) and starts winning games again, THEN I'll start taking interest in the rivalry again

THIS IS AN AWESOME HIGHLIGHT VID OF THIS GAME! I was sitting in the Endzone that had all the Florida fans in it, and it was a crazy first half for us then all I remember hearing at about 6 min to go in the 3rd quater was "thats another miami hurricane first down" ...now that I dont live in Florida seeing this makes me miss good football! Florida hasn't played a non-conference regular season away game outside the state of Florida since 1991. And I assume the "undefeated" season you're referring to is the 1911 season, when the gators won 5 of 6 games, beating such tough teams as College of Charleston and Stetson? I guess since the CURRENT gator squad is so pathetic, you stupid gator fans have to go back to 1911 to find something to talk about. Fags
