Katech cammed Z06 at Dubai Knockout Challenge

Katech is ownage. That is all. After Pratt-Miller, if I ever want a natural aspiration upgrade for my future Z06, Katech is right at the top of the list. They have the race-proven tech and know how from all of their years of experience in LeMans. They went for the hardest racing series in the world and came away with complete domination of GT1 (nee GTS).

@nlmaffia Think about this though, American cars have huge V8's that develop less HP per cylinder than European cars yes... But no European supercar gets any where near as good of gas mileage, not even close. Not to mention that you get a way broader power band with a big V8. There are benefits to both kinds of blocks... But there isn't a single European supercar making over 500 crank HP while still getting 25+mpg highway...

At least people in Dubai know cars. It's funny how the Europeans still can't admit or get over the fact that the Americans are making better sports cars like the Z06 now. The Z06 has no turbo or supercharger, makes 505hp, and 26mpg on the highway.

@1aceves ....... i dont want to get into an argument because i love the value for money of the corvette and the way it looks and goes, but European cars are different in respect to the fact we like a car to have everything built in, not just speed, we like a compromise between comfort, style, build quality and speed! that's where all the money goes into developing such cars as the 458 italia and the gallardo lp560 etc, the corvette just doesn't offer the full package!

Relatively, yea. It can do over 60 mph before you need 2nd gear.

it's not some japanese car with no tq, it can pull a tall gear and doesn't need to shift into third to hit 60mph, one gear works best for these types

Where is that track/strip at? I have seen a twin turbo Mrec SLR in Dubai, the only one in the world! It pulls over 1000 Hp and can smash the 1/4 mile in 9.99 sec on its best run.

I have seen 800hp "BoTies" doing 1/4's in less then 9seconds....last thing GTTTGT the Mc SLR is a track car not a drag car even with 1000hp, and well even this Vette in this video would have smoked that SLR
