I managed to get 100% [story] completion on this game, meaning I've done all side missions and cut-scenes that are part of that total.
The one thing I missed which would've helped out was obtaining the accessory with the "break damage limit" ability. Remember to observe the Youth League base through the sphere during every chapter to get it.
I loved the battle-/job-systems and the lighthearted nature of the game. Spent many hours on it. One of my favourite FFs. And yes, I've at played all main FFs, though haven't finished them all (yet).
@LoverlyJessica She was the recorder for a Crimson Squad (formed shortly after the events of X) team with her team consisting of herself, Nooj, Gippal and Baralai. Eventually they were sent to the Den of Woe but after the events there the Crimson Squad was discharged and they all went seperate ways. Payne decided to become a spherehunter leading her to join the Gullwings. The Crimson Spheres scattered through Spira show her team and the events in the Den of Woe. This is as much as I remember.
@LoverlyJessica No prob! Just a minor correction, I looked it up cause I was starting to doubt myself. The Crimson Squad was an elite force of Yevon led by Measter Kinoc. They were tasked to investigate the Den of Woe since strange things were occuring there. The events in the Den of Woe happened around the time of Operation Mi'ihen of FFX. Paine's team was the only one to survive. If you find all Crimson Spheres you can see what happened and enter the Den of Woe to learn more about Paine.
@LoverlyJessica There is one thing that I told you as was supposed to be believed as not to give away everything about the truth of the events in the Den of Woe. The truth is for you to find out. ;)
so is it alot diffrent from the Final Fantasy X With all the battles and stuff ??? coz it looks that wayy ?? and is this as good as the over 1 ?? jw btw
@misscrazykasi The battle system is quite different yes. Instead of the CTB-battlesystem (FFX) this one has gone back to the ATB-system like the earlier FF-games along with a job-system (though jobs are now dubbed as Dressspheres). New feature is that jobs can be changed in battle by putting them on a Garment Grid. A small grid with nodes (like in FFX) though now the nodes are to be filled with Dressspheres. There are different Grids to collect and equip, all with different effects.
@misscrazykasi Also the way you progress through the story is different. The story is divided into 5 Chapters, all with different missions to complete in order to progress. From the early beginning you are given acces to the whole worldmap and an airship, letting you travel freely and visiting locations through every chapter. Every location has different things to do per chapter though it may depends if you've visited in earlier chapters or not. Locations marked as "Hotspots" progress the story.
AH luca the place that taught me to blitz, it's all coming back to me, although I never was good at it lol, anyway I got this game today and stuff but, I want to know if it's difficult.
This is ok, I thought it was gonna be a lot worse. The storyline is alright and some of the gameplay. But it's so fucking vague at times, it would be alright if it was fun trying to figure out what to do. But it isn't. It's just like, running up to every wall and spamming x/o. FF9 for life.
@Meganmorton93 Final Fantasy X was by far one of the top two FF's so far... as for X-2 it was a good game for those who think its terible I ask did you get past chapter 2 ?? The first couple chapters is painfully "Yay girl power" but then the game suprizes you with a kinda amazing story.

I agree with you. But I was REALLY disappointed with this game. They should've either stayed with 10, or edited the plot a bit on 10-2. But, I must say, Rikku is pretty hot. Just saying.

My reaction first time playing: why's Yuna singing and dancing? Rikku looks hot. Why is Rikku and the other girl attacking yuna? Wait, if that's Yuna, then who's the other Yuna running away? What the hell is going on?!
People always complain about how much Yuna changed in FFX-2. I don't get why, to me it makes perfect sense. All through FFX, she thought she was going to die. She never lived for herself, only for Spira. And then, in the end, she gets to live on, in a world of peace.
Who WOULDN'T want to mix it up after all that? I think the Yuna in X-2 is how Yuna always wanted to be, deep down, but she never had the freedom to do what she liked before.

@HopefulNinja gonzaloffx2 is correct. You won't understand the need for her going on the journey. FFX shouldn't take very long anyway it took me less than three days to finish the game the first time I got it. FFX2 has multiple endings.
To answer your question: IT MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE lulu and wakka is one thing, let me put it this way out of all the characters in the game FFX2 you won't meet all her guardians or see Yuna fall in love:D Several people you play in FFX you can't play in X2

The gameplay was very very very difficult to get used to. Plus got to a desert boss only to realize I didn't have an item only obtained in the beginning of the stinking game! I never beat it.

@ExtremeRulez13 the story line DOES use the tech just that it's called machina and was banned to be used becuse it was thought to have been a means to piss off SIN the bad ass boss the reason they came to this conclusion is that the City Tidus is from was the Most technologically advanced around but was crushed this made people think that using Machina is Wrong if they dont want the same fate.

im a guy and i have absolutely nothing against playing a girl as the protagonist. I have no idea whats wrong with most guys out there thinking a game with a girl as the main character is automatically bad and girly. I mean if its an online internet game, and a guy is disguising himself as a girl, i can understand the animosity but still this is a 1 player game so who the hell cares, as long as the game is good.
@RastaNoRules if you can't choose it , you are having :
Trouble Nº1: you haven't finished the game yet, so you don't have the option of starting a new game plus(a new game plus is an option that you unlock once you finish the game). It allows you to start a new game BUT in this game you have all your story progress( i mean story %, for example i finished the game with a 70% completion) and all the items & dresspheres you got in the previous game.
Trouble Nº 2: You didn't get the dressphere while storyline progress. You can get the Dark knight dressphere in bevelle in chapter 2 and if you missed it you can get it during chapter 3 and 5. that's all. no matter what you do ever you ensure you have met those requirements you can be sure you got this dressphere.
FFX-2 was a good game, why bag on it? I was a big fan of FFX so it made sense to get FFX-2 and the story was rather good, nicely made and gave more answers to what happens to tidus and others. Also you gotta love the main boss in this, Vegnagun and Shuyin was awesome!
@gonzaloffx2 Do you know what I mean by lineal? (I feel stupid I don't even know if I spelled it right). Meaning you can't go to places you want to go and you have to do missions. Not like ff 9. Most games start off lineal but as you progress, it's an rpg. In ff9, you are stuck at first trying to capture a princess and that is what you have to do at first.

@HopefulNinja gonzaloffx2 is correct. You won't understand the need for her going on the journey. FFX shouldn't take very long anyway it took me less than three days to finish the game the first time I got it. FFX2 has multiple endings.
To answer your question: IT MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE lulu and wakka is one thing, let me put it this way out of all the characters in the game FFX2 you won't meet all her guardians or see Yuna fall in love:D Several people you play in FFX you can't play in X2

SCREW THAT! I hated this game. The trailer and opening sequence made me buy it. WASTE OF MONEY!
The gameplay was very very very difficult to get used to. Plus got to a desert boss only to realize I didn't have an item only obtained in the beginning of the stinking game! I never beat it.
It was frustrating that I couldn't finish the game without starting over. Some desert monster thing. I HATED THAT THING! HATE HATE!

@ExtremeRulez13 the story line DOES use the tech just that it's called machina and was banned to be used becuse it was thought to have been a means to piss off SIN the bad ass boss the reason they came to this conclusion is that the City Tidus is from was the Most technologically advanced around but was crushed this made people think that using Machina is Wrong if they dont want the same fate.

im a guy and i absolutely love this game. just because the character base is mainly girls means nothing. its just as if the character base is male. if i had to rate this game id definitely give it at minimum 8.9/10 :)

i seriously think that Square Enix should do remakes of all the past final fantasy games from 1 to 9, well not remake but simply a upgrade in graphics if you will, it would make a lot of people happy and would make a lot of money cause there are a lot of people who love final fantasy, i am for sure is one and my indian friend, and maybe my mexican and white friend, i don't know they only played one game out of the whole series which are 9 for white and 13 for mexican, yeah...

im a guy and i have absolutely nothing against playing a girl as the protagonist. I have no idea whats wrong with most guys out there thinking a game with a girl as the main character is automatically bad and girly. I mean if its an online internet game, and a guy is disguising himself as a girl, i can understand the animosity but still this is a 1 player game so who the hell cares, as long as the game is good.

Trouble Nº1: you haven't finished the game yet, so you don't have the option of starting a new game plus(a new game plus is an option that you unlock once you finish the game). It allows you to start a new game BUT in this game you have all your story progress( i mean story %, for example i finished the game with a 70% completion) and all the items & dresspheres you got in the previous game.

Trouble Nº 2: You didn't get the dressphere while storyline progress. You can get the Dark knight dressphere in bevelle in chapter 2 and if you missed it you can get it during chapter 3 and 5. that's all. no matter what you do ever you ensure you have met those requirements you can be sure you got this dressphere.

FFX-2 was a good game, why bag on it? I was a big fan of FFX so it made sense to get FFX-2 and the story was rather good, nicely made and gave more answers to what happens to tidus and others. Also you gotta love the main boss in this, Vegnagun and Shuyin was awesome!

@gonzaloffx2 Do you know what I mean by lineal? (I feel stupid I don't even know if I spelled it right). Meaning you can't go to places you want to go and you have to do missions. Not like ff 9. Most games start off lineal but as you progress, it's an rpg. In ff9, you are stuck at first trying to capture a princess and that is what you have to do at first.

It was doubtless made by people with better intentions, but it comes off that way
However, I enjoyed the game mechanics, and the story, whenever it stayed away long enough from the awful Leblanc (I get that she is supposed to be awful, but it just isn't fun to watch) and the hapless henchmen
