Hey it would of been good if you played the whole song and not chop off the end. The song goes on for another minute or so where it stopped in this vid. It's a great Aussie song. I first heard this on either Eon FM (Triple M) or 3MP in 1983 and have never forgotten it 27 years later!

I also have Carson's hit single, 'Boogie', which is different to their 'A Boogie' on 'Carson Blown' album. I'd love someone to post Broderick Smith's Big Combo's other hit besides 'My Father's Hands' & that is 'Faded Roses'. Brodericks voice is unique & especially when he was younger, there was a certain sound that came from the back of his throat made him sound almost like an American negro or something. I didn't believe it was him on the radio at first, when he sang Going On Down.

Does anybody know how to put a song from a record on this site. I have two hits (I call 'em hits if they were on the radio, top 20 or not) on singles that he made solo, while he was with Carson. 'Going On Down To The End of the World' & 'Yesterday It Rained'. I'm sure there are fans out there that will love them.

Awesome track...I wonder if he ever did a promo vid for it. If he did there doesn't seem to be any trace of it which is a tragedy...not even a Countdown performance. I do remember a film clip for Ruby In The Snow which is from the same album if my memory serves me right...I remember seeing it on Sounds and loving it. Another piece of Aussie rock history disappeared...an incredible shame.
