  • I wanna see more. You're voice is nice to listen to. Checking out more x

  • Thank you for posting this video. Is the reason you did the mat with four strans of yarn is to make it thicker?

  • @erebos91 yes he used 4 strands to make the mat thicker but also to elimate holes in it....chanel@mikeys helpdesk :)

  • @mikeyssmail okay i get it. I used 3 though. thanks

  • Love this! Can't wait to try it...

  • if you using this design for a scarf... the wider you want the scarf the more pegs you wrap around correct? i'm new to this thanks

  • @29capergirl yes U got it...... use as many pegs as you want to make the project the sz you want!! chanel @ mikeys helpdesk

  • This is awesome. When I bought my rectangular loom with my sis at a craft store I think we both thought this would be too hard to pick up. I've been knitting with needles for over a year as has my grandmother. I think that I will mention this to her since her hands go numb when knitting with needles. This has been very helpful as it is the video that introduced me to knitting on actual looms *not cardboard. The lighting is great, you talk loud enough, and pause enough so people don't get lost!!!

  • hi mikey i love your viedos.how many skeins of the yarn the fancy one do you use to make this placemat?i love you and your great loom knitting and crochet viedos.YOU ROCK!!!!

  • hey, can you tell me what yarns you used? I really love the fuzzy multi-colored ones... if you could please tell me, that would be awesome!

  • Hobby lobby h as the coupons every so often, you have to watch for it. They change each week on Sunday.

  • you are such a good teacher!

I checked the Hobby Lobby website and that coupon expired. They run them on their weekly coupon and that 40% off comes up regularly so just keep checking back.

You have alot of patience working with the eyelash yarn - it drives me bonkers. It gives such a pretty look though.

  • dont mean to hog your comments -

what makes the direction of the wrap easier for me is that when you start off, you go right, like you are reading and I call that going to the front of the peg -

then reversing to go back, you go left and I call that wrapping the back of the peg--

    does that make sense?

  • You really had wonderful point to add here... Thanks so much for that!

  • Don't worry about adding too many comments... I really love viewer feedback because sometimes A viewer really can change a point of view or really help another... Keep them coming!

  • just a little fyi - the Serenity loom (figure 8 shape) is cumbersome and doesnt go very fast. But if you add up the time to make 3 panels on a larger loom, then stitching them together, it's probably about the same time.

Also, its single knit, not double so you have 2 different sides.

I got mine at Hobby Lobby for $29.99. You can go to their website and print out a coupon for 40% off one item, so that's pretty cool.

  • If this is the case... I am going to find the store coupon and post it on the FAN PAGE... many viewers will love this concept!

    :) Michael

  • The speed of this project is phenominal. I can now do a place mat in less than 2 hours and it looks like an authentic Pottery Barn or Pier 1 purchase. JUST FABULOUS!

  • does anybody know if they make looms like this big enough to make a blanket, and where i could buy them?

  • google 'infinity loom' they are for making afgahns in one piece and are a cool shape to keep it compact....

  • thank you

  • Apparently they do and Wal_mart sells them. However, I have to get my butt to a big wal-mart to find one! I want to do a huge blanket in loom knitting format because I know it's going to be the king of the roost! :)

  • and it would be thick, and fast!

  • cool th for showing how to make the place mat
