This is awesome. When I bought my rectangular loom with my sis at a craft store I think we both thought this would be too hard to pick up. I've been knitting with needles for over a year as has my grandmother. I think that I will mention this to her since her hands go numb when knitting with needles. This has been very helpful as it is the video that introduced me to knitting on actual looms *not cardboard. The lighting is great, you talk loud enough, and pause enough so people don't get lost!!!
I cannot find a tutorial to make dishcloths on a rectangular loom. I have the purple loom but it seems too loose for dishcloths. Do you have any suggestions? I'm currently using the circular looms but, although they come out fine, they're not as square as I would like.
Hi Mikey Love your videos they helped me out alot but do you know how to use a pocket knitter if so please let me know because I got the tool here but is confuseing to use I got it for my birthday. I watch and learn how to do your videos I want to say thank you ur awsome....
hi mikey i love your viedos.how many skeins of the yarn the fancy one do you use to make this placemat?i love you and your great loom knitting and crochet viedos.YOU ROCK!!!!
I checked the Hobby Lobby website and that coupon expired. They run them on their weekly coupon and that 40% off comes up regularly so just keep checking back.
You have alot of patience working with the eyelash yarn - it drives me bonkers. It gives such a pretty look though.
what makes the direction of the wrap easier for me is that when you start off, you go right, like you are reading and I call that going to the front of the peg -
then reversing to go back, you go left and I call that wrapping the back of the peg--
Don't worry about adding too many comments... I really love viewer feedback because sometimes A viewer really can change a point of view or really help another... Keep them coming!
just a little fyi - the Serenity loom (figure 8 shape) is cumbersome and doesnt go very fast. But if you add up the time to make 3 panels on a larger loom, then stitching them together, it's probably about the same time.
Also, its single knit, not double so you have 2 different sides.
I got mine at Hobby Lobby for $29.99. You can go to their website and print out a coupon for 40% off one item, so that's pretty cool.
The speed of this project is phenominal. I can now do a place mat in less than 2 hours and it looks like an authentic Pottery Barn or Pier 1 purchase. JUST FABULOUS!
Apparently they do and Wal_mart sells them. However, I have to get my butt to a big wal-mart to find one! I want to do a huge blanket in loom knitting format because I know it's going to be the king of the roost! :)
I wanna see more. You're voice is nice to listen to. Checking out more x

Thank you for posting this video. Is the reason you did the mat with four strans of yarn is to make it thicker?

dont mean to hog your comments -
what makes the direction of the wrap easier for me is that when you start off, you go right, like you are reading and I call that going to the front of the peg -
then reversing to go back, you go left and I call that wrapping the back of the peg--
does that make sense?
