  • I have 3 T1 sons. Our youngest was dx at 16 months. Our oldest was dx at age 20 and our middle one dx at age 9. They are 7, 22, and (still)9. When our youngest and first diabetic child said when he was 5, I hope I'm not diabetic when I grow up, it broke my heart. Just a few months later was when his already "grown up" brother was dx and D son #1 said he was sad for him....again...broken heart. When the middle son was dx in April of this year, the youngest felt like he now had a "battle buddy."

  • I have type 1 diabetes. 9 years last week...im only 14 years old...lets hope for a cure, but i live in australia so JDRF doesnt have walks and cover here, we just donate anyways.

  • She is raising money for CHARITY!!!

  • Um, so you put a video on YouTube asking for money?

    Whatever works I guess

  • Actually it makes perfect sense...think about it! They're not just trying to raise money, but raise AWARENESS... What i f you're daughter was going through this??? Wouldn't you want money to be raised for a cure? And isn't youtube a great way to spread the word about things? Think about your comment...

  • i'm Jenny and I'm a teenager with type 1 diabetes from California. This fall my dad and I are riding 70 miles through Death Valley for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (this is our 2nd ride, we rose 58 through Death Valley in May 2006). I have a video on my youtube site about my ride, as well as my website link. I want to raise $15,000 and need your help!! Even $1 helps!! Thanks!

  • She is precious. Viewing all of these videos really drives home how similar the lives of people that are impacted by this disease really are. Just search "Diabetes" on youtube and you will be amazed at how many videos are telling our story....and each one has a beautiful face to make everyone remember. Tell everyone you know to log on and see our world....and then to donate-if not money, then their voices!

  • My precious granddaughter's story couldn't have been told better than by her loving mother. She and my son are the behind the scenes heroes of this story. Please...if you can...help give hope to them and all the families that face diabetes. You can make a difference.

  • I'm so sorry...I went to click for a thumbs up but accidentally clicked thumbs down...sorry about that!!!
