Steam traction may be dirty and very labour intensive, but in a country where so many are uintentionally or otherwise, unemployed, I can think of no better way of reinstating jobs than railway operation. And don't forget, WHEN there is a 'terrorist' nuke exploded to create a complete stoppage of ALL transport which needs and uses electricity in any way by propogating an EMP, steam is the ONLY motive power unaffected by this phenomenon. In Britian, why does the railways name every steam, diesel, and electric locomotives after famous people, places, and things? (Example: Class A3 - "Flying Scotsman")

look im no tramp, i actually help on my local heritage line. i really do hope this country reverses the madness of dr pepper. i am doing a documentary at the moment on the great western railway, spiffing subject if you ask me chappys, lastly u are not the biggest lover of trains, no body here is, they should be shared through everyones hearts equally.
