Without hearing his words but by seeing his demonstration, I can tell that he is teaching the same visualization that H. Nishiyama used to teach about "bouncing" or skipping the energy/pressure off the floor into the opponent, almost as if it splits with part going into the floor and part into the opponent.

You don't deserve a black belt with this kind of attitude. Karate is not about being slim, sexy or good looking, nor do you get it just for attending lessons, courses etc. You have to work hard and actually pass a rigurous exam. Many people attend frequently, go to every tournament and course but it does not mean they are good enough to pass a grade. A black belt is not just a black belt, it's an attitude and part of it is having the correct martial arts morals and values and not be judgemental.

@colchesterkarate attitude and morals? yes you learn 10 laws of morals before start evry lesson, but u don know karate right? I have 3dan blackbelt and have been training and speeking and consider myself a good friend of masao kawasoe, but even my sister have 3 kiy brown belt.. the belt color is just a colour on your belt.. not how skilled u are.. a friend of mine have the first brownbelt grade and is just as good as me.. i think when u have b b it is a must to represent it , ur ignorant
