  • you are doing that the hardest way possible

  • Nice wheels! And I mean both the car and chair! What happens when you get a spasm while driving?

  • Great video! I'm paralyzed from waist down I have Polio! I have a regular quickie 2 folding frame I drive an Impala and have no trouble going in and out my car. My biggest challange is that I'm over 300 pounds :'( I can do a lot though I can bench press lil over 400 pounds! Lol anyways nice to see this great video man... greetings from texas!

  • Mate you make things so hard for your self.... go an RGK chair its about 2 times lighter than your chair and only has 2 pop both wheels off... if you want i could show you a video of how i get in and out of a car its so much easyer....

  • i watched this a while ago, but never read the comments. I am scratchin the crap out of my g/f's new car and remembered seeing this video but had no idea short of a mechanics fender guard as to what to use. I have the same chair, and my outriggers keep hitting the rocker panel. Anyway, great video, and thanks for the tip!

  • SUPER VIDEO

    PETER KISS

  • good going mate. I am a t5 paraplegic and still need to grow some confidence to try all these things. .

  • You are so cute and handsome guy, thanks for show us how easy could be a transfer.

  • Thanks man for this video. Im able to drive but havent gotten a car I can get my chair in and out on my own yet. Getting close. Im a T12 L1 imcomplete but its not really going any where in a year and few months later. But always working on it. But thanks for the video.

  • wow that was a really good clean transfer in

  • wow that is just awesome!!! I am a T12 L1 and i have been looking for a better way of getting my chair in and out of my car for a long time. I am a wuss and leave the tippers on so the chair dose not fall over this is a huge help. I am tired of the tippers and now i think i can get rid of them all to gather! I think i will watch this 1 or 2 more times then go practice this new found pearl of wisdom. Many thanks for the info. Keep the great clips coming!

  • @seeyoublind I'm a T-6 complete. injured about two and a half years, but started driving about 5 months post injury. It took me a bit of practice to learn the best way to get in and out of the car and make it go quickly. I'm and much faster than shown in the video. I had about a month of physio when in the hospital and about two and a half out, But i wasnt afraid to try thing and practice on my own. i am completely independent and was within about 9 months of injury.

  • I hav the quickie ti. thinking aobut looking at the tilite TR.. you have any thoughts on those? good video .. I do abot the same thing. what kind of black material is that you put out n the door. Where did you get it?

  • @justintex1 It is just vinyl cloth that you can pick up at any fabric store or craft store. As far as the Tilite i have never used them, anyone that i know that has them likes them a lot though, i would say to look into the new Quickie Q7 as well it has some cool design features. I guess it is just about as light as the Titanium ones but without the cost of it. I would say see if you can ge a trial run in any of them at a dealer

  • @brunnerjosh Thanks for your thoughts. About how much vinyl do you need? What is the quickie Q7 made out of. What desigh features are you refering to?

thanks for your help. Keep up the videos.

    Justin

  • @justintex1 get a TiLITE very good chair

  • Thanks for the vid. I just switched to rigid frame Tilite Aero Z and stowing the chair is more cumbersome than I'm used to. I also use a towell or vinyl piece to protect the door sill.

  • Good point, TheICM96. I can't figure that one out, either.

  • I had a Quickie GT, but chose a Top End Crossfire Titanium for my second chair. My Quickie fell apart, the back squeaked where it joined the seat and the plastic axle come apart sending me sideways off a curb into the street when my back wheel & axle piece fell off! After $500 to replace more than I needed. I had to buy the whole axle assembly & a long wait with my wheel falling off at random times with little to no warning I got my Top End. Quickie seems to be better with the Q7 (Helium).

  • Excellent video. Try to make a video that explain how a paraplegic can cut their toenails.

  • That would be the same way as anyone else would.

  • Man, I never would've thought about leaning the seat back that far. Thanks, this video has given me a lot of ideas since I've been trying to figure out how to do transfers from the driver's seat of a car and to bring in and out my chair. By the way, I also have a Quickie GT.

  • I have CP and have always wondered how it is done without falling. I personally can't do that because of my chair (Quickie 2) and also because of my body. I am getting the same chair as you have.
