check out doom metal band while heaven wept, the album is called of empires forlorn. It is the most awesome and epic thing i've ever heard. It changed my life!
I really don't know any similar band. Sure you can tell it's eipc doom, but it has a lot from modern doom too. I would suggest you search for Tristitia, the labum "Garden of Darkness", it doesn't sound like this, but it's another band from Sweden playing a very particular style of Epic Doom.

Saturnus' music is quite different anyway. And, I think Saturnus became a decent band only since the album "Veronika Decides to Die". Isole have great songwritting (and singing) since their first album.
