we have seals in the lakes here, they follow the salmon up the river.they are getting farther inland and breeding in fresh water as well,a pest in my eyes,they are killin the steelhead and trout in the streams and rivers,not to mention the salmon too,maybe a grizzly will get one i hope

Much more money is leaving UK because of manufacturing and assembling goods in China - and here we go again, better workforce helps British companys to survive. It isn't uncommon to see Grey Seals up to and over 8 miles upstream of a river. I've seen them on the Great Ouse before and this one is on the Severn. Its just natural and since there is no real predator that feeds on them their numbers have increased so you'll here more and more stories like this.

we have same seasonal problem where i live seal chases salmon up river and forgets to go back to the sea wish someone would shoot the cunt there has'nt been a good pike caught in about 3 years on the river and thats how long this seal has been returning

@johncenaundertaker not good no, ive spoken to the angler who filmed it tho and he said he distracted the seal with deadbaits and the carp managed to get away, so hopefully it will survive. this seals doing some serious damage to fish stocks on this stretch of river and needs relocating. ive read that the daily consumption weight of fish for a seal is about 12 lb, and this ones only eating the stomach part of them, so it must be taking loads of fish just to sustain itself!
