  • video note:I hadn't read it in about 20years,so with my video i was recalling the story as i remembered it as when i was a boy.

And tried to recreate it as i best remembered it,so it's a slightly different version however still goes along with alot of the themes of the actual story.

  • This story traumatized me when I was little. ((o_o)) To this day, I'm still terrified if I hear a little noise while I'm trying to sleep...it might just be the tailypo...

  • HAPPY MONTH OF HALLOWEEN ALL!!! Have fun trick or treating but be safe too

  • HOLY CRAP...... I'm 20 and I remember first reading that story fourteen years ago in the first grade. It's terrified me ever since.

I've never heard someone make such a horrifying "Tailpo..." voice! The way you whispered it was so freaky!!!!!! Good job darlin'~ Story telling's a hard thing to do but you've got the gumph!

  • @scorpioFUNK haha i'm glad you found it freaky :),thanks for the nice comment.

and thanks for the over 1000 views everyone.all the best.Derek

  • YEs THIS IS A gREAT STORY :D -Cecil- this is by far my fav Ghost Story when i was was young :)

  • thanks nbcable,i appreciate it.

Also all sorry if the mouth is abit out of sync but it was ok prior to uploading, and took a long time to upload, but if you stick with it you can still hear the dialogue.cheers

  • Ofcourse, thanks for telling it. The fact that it is out of sync makes little difference if the story is told with passion which you did. Sorry it took me so long to notice that you mentioned this.

  • @Bluewolf2028 is this story real? is it a true story? im only 11 and im creeped out!

  • @lilliecow, the story is considered to be folklore, which by definition is a story or tale told verbally over generations. The traditional beliefs, myths, tales, and practices of a people, transmitted orally.A popular but unfounded belief.

So it may be true in it's origins, but it's really a mystery...

  • A mighty fine telling, probably the best I have heard and I have heard many versions of this story told.
