yeah once I broke one of my nails, so I put on these and I ended up hating them, so I pulled them all off , and in the process of pulling them off, I broke a few of my nails, and completely screwed my nails up!

sorry but i don't know if this would really help :) Love your other nail tutorials and all but this is not fixing the problem it just shows you how to put on fake nails. I know a really common trick to make them stronger is to soak your nails in olive oil though. Figures lol... olive oil helps anything

I have thin nails that rip, they are so thin they dont break. I went and got a mani and the lady told me that it comes from overfiling and acrylics so she recommended i purchased some calcium nail polish. Yellow clear color but it works. You have to maintain it weekly but my nails look so much better. They are not as strong yet but I can definatley see and feel the difference

If you have brittle nails (like I used to) it's either because you're lacking in vitamins or you're dehydrated. A more natural way to fix this problem is either vitamin supplements or (more commenly the case) just rub lotion into your nails, after about a week they should improve.
I've been eating these pills containing silicon to make my hair better and my nails stronger and I must say they work! After eating them for a week my nails are much stronger and they don't break anymore :)

I don't like fake nails with the GLUE because whenever you peel the nails of take them off the glue takes off a layer of your nail making them even more brittle and easy to break?bend off.Not a good idea......

This doesn't really fix your problem. Sure, it IS a quick fix but fake nails don't have good staying power and will indeed make your real nails even MORE brittle and slow-growing. I definitely wouldn't recommend this for people with that type of nail. Instead I would say that nail strengtheners, nail hardeners and nail growing polishes are the way to go. It may take time, but it is totally worth it for beautiful natural nails.
@zoe9463 another way to help people with brittle and slow growing nail is to use cuticle oil. the time of cuticle oil i use is (CUTICLE OIL with vitamin E and lemon extract) it whitens my tips and moisturize my cuticle and nail

if you have week nails or nails that dont grow quick,try using ''sally hansen maximum groeth daily nail growth program'' it works soo good! i tried it and now my nails are gorgeos......its only like $4.99 i think from walmart? but if it doesnt work just use it as a base or top coat :P hope this helpss :)

and your nails grow their own way, the only thing that you kan do is take good care for them: file and buf every week and but on a good nail hardener and 2 coats of polish, i did that with mine and the never break anymore!
I agree and disagree with the other comments. If you weren't going to show people tips on how to stop biting their nails or make them grow longer, you should've put the title as "How to apply fake nails". But with the current title, others think that you are giving out tips on naturally growing out their nails. but this way, it isn't natural and it's just covering up "nail flaws". If you do have tips on how to stop biting nails, I think it'd be extremely helpful if you shared them.

if you get acrylic nails from the salon, and your actual nails grow under your fake nails. It does make them really week or brittle. The BEST thing is the sally hansen nail growth serums
Well , i just took off my fake nails and they are just killing my nails more i would say the best thing to do is not bite your nails if you do use Avon`s Strong Result`s nail polish and let it grow and don`t ruin it.
Although if you don't want to grow your nails but just want them to look beautiful them fake nails would be the best choice.
covering your nails isnt a quick fix - the glue will make your nails grow even slower. QUICK TIP - purchase Sally Hansen's Triple Strong Advanced Gel Nail Fortifier. works amazing - in 2 weeks you'll have nail tips at *least* 4-6mm long.
@TheStackAttackIsBack any shoppers drug mart, or cosmetic store i believe. (i usually go to shoppers). TIP - broken nail? put a tiny bit of super glue to hold it together, and wait for the nail to grow out. or, cut a piece of teabag material and secure with nail polish.
It isn't a good option for people with short brittle nails because the nail glue actually damages the nail breaking it down even more. To people with short brittle nails I don't recommend taking on this option. You maybe hiding the problem but hiding it under false nails making the problem worse not preventing it. I recommend using serum & nail hardening polish to make the nails stronger and natural looking.

well... uh reneeangel101 sorry, I didn't have any video's about that yet! So I will tell you right now! Um... you need a invisable nail polish (or top/base coat). The invisable nail polish (/top/base coat) will work like the glue. Just put it on the fake nails, and it will work! But if you want to have it for like a week or so, then you should leave it overnight. And the invisable nail polish is safer (I guess?) then the actuall nail glue. (P.S. do not put your nails in water, like hot water

I have a Good Tip for those of you who chew your nails or they're just too brittle. There's a special type of nail polish that has a horribe taste when you apply it, so you definatley will NOT want to bite ur nails. If your nails are too weak and grow slowly, just give it some time. They should grow about a millileter within 4 to 5 weeks or o. If not, then there's also a special type of herbal substance that you apply. i forget it at the moment, but i'll let you knoe if interested.

I agree with what Miss Smores said about Sally Hanson products, and with delta about Kiss. The only problem with putting false nails on is that they do come off usually within about 5 days. I find that tips last longer (either acrylic or calcium gel) and it doesn't show if your nails start to grow when you're wearing them either.
You guys can just use Miracle cure by Sally hansen and then some cuticle cream, and if you need it afterwards some nail strengthener, i put vaseline petroleum jelly on my naisl twice a day which works just as good as cuticle cream.
The best brand of nails in the box is Kiss. Those are the nails that I swear by. You can buy the box with the multiples for the same price that you can buy the kind with only about two applications.

Hi Julie. u r gorgeous and very informative. i love your videos. i actually fear trying on artificial nails because i feel they ll damage my natural nails. i hv been trying to grow my nails for last two months for weddings coming up..but my nails r so weak they break very easily so i had to clip off all my. But now I do want to try them,for that i need ur help. can u plz answer few of my questions,

if you have week nails or nails that dont grow quick,try using ''sally hansen maximum groeth daily nail growth program'' it works soo good! i tried it and now my nails are gorgeos......its only like $4.99 i think from walmart? but if it doesnt work just use it as a base or top coat :P hope this helpss :)

ok i'm sorry but you are all whining that she doesn't show how to let your own nails grow, but the titel says: quick fix, AND THIS IS WAY FASTER THAN LET YOUR OWN NAILS GROW
and your nails grow their own way, the only thing that you kan do is take good care for them: file and buf every week and but on a good nail hardener and 2 coats of polish, i did that with mine and the never break anymore!

soak your nails in pure virgin olive oil for 20-30 mins at least 2-3 times a week i promise you your nail will be stronger and grow like weeds

I agree and disagree with the other comments. If you weren't going to show people tips on how to stop biting their nails or make them grow longer, you should've put the title as "How to apply fake nails". But with the current title, others think that you are giving out tips on naturally growing out their nails. but this way, it isn't natural and it's just covering up "nail flaws". If you do have tips on how to stop biting nails, I think it'd be extremely helpful if you shared them.

i use fake nails alot because my nails are short and i bite them, its a quick fix but covering them up makes them brittle and flake. your videos havent been the greatest lately to be honest.

if you get acrylic nails from the salon, and your actual nails grow under your fake nails. It does make them really week or brittle. The BEST thing is the sally hansen nail growth serums

Well , i just took off my fake nails and they are just killing my nails more i would say the best thing to do is not bite your nails if you do use Avon`s Strong Result`s nail polish and let it grow and don`t ruin it.
Although if you don't want to grow your nails but just want them to look beautiful them fake nails would be the best choice.

covering your nails isnt a quick fix - the glue will make your nails grow even slower. QUICK TIP - purchase Sally Hansen's Triple Strong Advanced Gel Nail Fortifier. works amazing - in 2 weeks you'll have nail tips at *least* 4-6mm long.

@TheStackAttackIsBack any shoppers drug mart, or cosmetic store i believe. (i usually go to shoppers). TIP - broken nail? put a tiny bit of super glue to hold it together, and wait for the nail to grow out. or, cut a piece of teabag material and secure with nail polish.

It isn't a good option for people with short brittle nails because the nail glue actually damages the nail breaking it down even more. To people with short brittle nails I don't recommend taking on this option. You maybe hiding the problem but hiding it under false nails making the problem worse not preventing it. I recommend using serum & nail hardening polish to make the nails stronger and natural looking.

well... uh reneeangel101 sorry, I didn't have any video's about that yet! So I will tell you right now! Um... you need a invisable nail polish (or top/base coat). The invisable nail polish (/top/base coat) will work like the glue. Just put it on the fake nails, and it will work! But if you want to have it for like a week or so, then you should leave it overnight. And the invisable nail polish is safer (I guess?) then the actuall nail glue. (P.S. do not put your nails in water, like hot water

srry but .... THUMBS DOWN..... I thought this would HELP your nails. NOT cover them up with something that makes them WORSE!!! I used to use fake nails myself, but then realized it was making my nails REALLY thin and bendy. Like WAY more than it is supposed to be. PLEASE!!! dont turn to THIS option unless U have NO nails and want to look like you do. Anyway not a good idea to put on real nails... TRUST ME!! :(

I have a Good Tip for those of you who chew your nails or they're just too brittle. There's a special type of nail polish that has a horribe taste when you apply it, so you definatley will NOT want to bite ur nails. If your nails are too weak and grow slowly, just give it some time. They should grow about a millileter within 4 to 5 weeks or o. If not, then there's also a special type of herbal substance that you apply. i forget it at the moment, but i'll let you knoe if interested.

@Sparklediamond1000 You could soak them in acetone-based nail polish OR soak them in warm,soapy water until they fall of or the glue has loosened and is able to peel off!

I agree with what Miss Smores said about Sally Hanson products, and with delta about Kiss. The only problem with putting false nails on is that they do come off usually within about 5 days. I find that tips last longer (either acrylic or calcium gel) and it doesn't show if your nails start to grow when you're wearing them either.

You guys can just use Miracle cure by Sally hansen and then some cuticle cream, and if you need it afterwards some nail strengthener, i put vaseline petroleum jelly on my naisl twice a day which works just as good as cuticle cream.

The best brand of nails in the box is Kiss. Those are the nails that I swear by. You can buy the box with the multiples for the same price that you can buy the kind with only about two applications.
