People need to stop hating and start realizing that one, just because you have money, dosnt meant life is any easier. And two, that just cause you went to private schools here in miami, dosnt mean you had money or lived a charmed life. I know i didnt. Just cause the kids depicted in this film had money didnt mean their destructive and sometimes dangerous decisions were any less impactful on their own lives or those around them. I think this film still gives a good lesson to be learned.

If a tree falls in a forest, and nobody is around to hear it... does it make a sound? Don't lose sight of what story is actually being told. Lost City, despite Andy's best efforts, only perpetuated the reality that nobody outside of Miami cares about the Cuban plight as its been told. Memoir's seemingly narrow characterization of private school kids in Miami will only do the same - perpetuate a false stereotype of what seems to be Columbus kids. I hope I'm wrong. Columbus deserves more.

MrMike, agreed 100% on A+ for effort. Judging from the trailer, however, the other grades will fall well short. I will reserve my own grade until I see the full feature. I am a product of a Miami private school. Columbus kids aren't a bunch of little punks. I hope the full cut doesn't build on that. My opinion - as does yours - matters. We are the audience. I don't see anyone outside of Miami caring about this one way or the other. This is Lost City part II on the relevance scale.

I appreciate the art. that being said, Art is a form of expression. as artists, filmmakers tend to tell stories they feel only they can tell. ex: The Lost City. If this reflects the quality of Miami's future filmmaking, what a sad state indeed. Is going through Andy G. a prerequisite to doing something out of Miami? This film will make a few kids really popular in Miami but nothing more. Miami is a small bubble and people talk - without Andy pulling the strings, this would be showing in someone's living room at a bad high school party. If you want respect and to blaze a trail, do something on your own. This is all smoke and mirrors.
