The pants and jacket may be dated, but Amy's soul, voice and message never is. I am thrilled to hear that splendid voice and a message that still gets me through each day. I think she's more beautiful now than ever. God bless you, Amy, we're still listening and living in His Love.
I am a former drug addict lived on the streets in sao paulo 11 years and 16 years was on drugs but God had mercy in my life, I am now a new creation in the person of Jesus Christ blessed ... I lost my mother with 5 to 6 years and 2 brothers and a sister who looked after me and when I was 8 years after losing my father died all these, I'm an aunt taking care of me, so I got into drugs but God changed my new creature life today ... Belo Horizonte MG Brazil
The great 80s--went to 4 of Amy's concerts--it was her music which helped me through high school. Thank you Amy. Love your new song--"Better than a Halleluah"
This song brings back so many wonderful memories of a simple era. The 80's were so "happy" copared to the issues of the day. This clip is from Amy's Christmas special, 88 or 89. It was a great show. Amy was on top of the world and her career was unstopable. She's a classic and I love her. Also, she really sings the hell out of this song live here. Much meatier than the recording. LOVE IT.
@GospelAccording2ME I agree with you that Amy was and still is classic and this is fantastic song for all generations. The 80's only seemed "happy" to me because I was young and unaware of the issues that were there and still exist today, only some are more publicised today! Can't stop loving Amy's message in her music!

@TheBrierose You make a great point. Maybe this period wasn't much "happier" than today...I just wasn't aware of the issues due to my age.
