we have a thing at work like this we call it a grasshopper we use it to haul pipe across roofs, we only pull it by hand it has a handle, you can move a 20 foot length of 12" sch 40 easy.

I wouldn't be going down any steep or rough hills with that big log tagging my ATV with no brakes on that hauler.
