  • sounds like a bunch of talented people. the drummer is especially ridiculous... in a good way. i would listen to xtian music if it carried this kind of thought, but most of the stuff on the radio sounds like a generic version of already generic pop music. this is a step in the right direction for xtian music. i consider myself agnostic, however i tend to worship creativity

Fellow Youtuber, don't tread on the dangerous ground of agnosticism. Reality is apart from our imaginations, and if there truly is a God, neutrality is no different from unbelief. Our Lord has made the demand for justice, and each one of us must face Him on the day of judgment because we are all sinners, utterly incapable of saving ourselves. Only by repenting of our sins and trusting in Christ alone are we saved.

    I wish you the best.

  • @falsethreats agnosism is a person only admitting that they KNOW nothing... belief is something different. I don't even believe everything i can see

  • @AromaticDogwood

I hope we're not at odds when we're defining terms like "belief". What exactly is your stance on truth? If someone who is agnostic admits to knowing nothing, what is his stance on God and truth?

  • @falsethreats i think truth is subjective. if there is an all knowing god then i suppose that only it would know if something is true. i think that if god exists, it is probably not something material but something metaphysical, made up of pure enlightened consciousness. i also imagine that this god would therefore be the sum of all consciousness; be it from humanity, animals or anything else we can or can't perceive. i doubt such an enlightened thing would care if a human recognizes it or not

  • @falsethreats and from my consideration of what god may be, i can conclude that exercising our creativity would be one of the most respectful ways to pay homage to the ever creating conscious sum, we're referring to as god. heheh. that's what i think. how about you?

  • @AromaticDogwood

Interesting thought. I hold truth to be something objective, something to be observed yet is not influenced by our own opinions of what it is. The truth is the truth. It would seem ideal for me to say that God in my mind is a being that has nothing to do with me, as I assume your post is communicating. However, I cannot imagine that God has nothing to do with me especially when I have a conscience and perception of good and evil. Morality is not something that exists in animals.

  • @AromaticDogwood

Lions do not contemplate whether it is right to hunt a deer; it by instinct hunts the deer for survival. Sometimes, I wonder if they have urge and ability for expressing creativity as humans do which brings out their existential side. Yet, these are things that human beings have and they seem to point to a Creator. If God is the source of good and evil, right and wrong, etc. God must have characteristics and traits that help define these concepts.

  • @AromaticDogwood

For example, the Christian God is perfectly just, and the Scriptures attest that to love justice is good yet to justify the wicked is an abomination. Even the term "enlightened" denotes right and wrong.

  • @AromaticDogwood

We are ultimately forced to examine the human problem of evil. If God is perfect and enlightened, can He (or it) tolerate that which is evil? Would God bother to deal with a person like Hitler? or even a man who commits petty theft? What does He think of Osama bin Laden or the everyday nice guy who lies every once in a while?

  • @falsethreats i don't know if animals are creative or not. i don't perceive them to be, but that doesn't mean anything. if the god is infinite and is the conscious source i would suspect that it experiences all time infinitely and simultaneously and all actions, good and evil; would cancel out. i think good and evil are human values and god would be beyond them. the punishment for evil is the hell that exists in the mind of a hitler or a common thief.

  • @falsethreats i could be totally wrong though, but i doubt it matters. i think if there is a continuum of the soul or psyche after death, this life might seem insignificant. don't get me wrong though, i'm enjoying myself and i try to be the best person i can. basically, my feeling towards god is that we as humans could pay the most respect to it by not trying to fit it into our human paradigm. the more we analyze it, the more we limit it. god would be 1,0 and infinite, but without these names.

  • I just discovered them ... Amazing !!

  • listening every sunday, I love my church Sojourn!

  • This song... nay... the ENTIRE ALBUM is AMAZING. Music that is not only really creative, but that is theologically solid and glorifying to our Lord Jesus Christ. Such a wonderful offering. Love it!

  • My favorite Christian band. Amazing artists on every level. Thanks for posting this, hopefully you will be able to do more of their music! SDG
