There are all different kinds of side effects - the one thing noticed, however, is that it did not cure anybody. housewives who were depressed went and had a lobotomy. Look up Rose Kennedy (part of JFK family) she had a lobotomy and was a vegetable for the rest of her life. Howard Dully had one at age 12 and says he felt like he lost a part of his soul. He is still alive, look him up, also.

People who have severe tics will sometimes get surgery done that puts a computer chip in their head that controls the brain waves. Severe epileptics might have surgery. Howeverk, there are less than 1000 a year in America that has these surgeries.
