"Kind of funny how Daisy is Donald's GF but not here."
It's called, in this case, voice--ahem--acting.
"I think the best Mrs. Cratchit was Miss Piggy."
Well, Mrs. Cratchit always was a bit saucy towards Scrooge, even in the book. The only reason Minnie didn't do so here is most likely because either The Mouse House saw the outburst as unimportant to the rest of the story or felt that it was against the code of conduct for eventually politically correct Disney.
@TherealRNO Pre-Eisner Disney was not controlled by political correctness. The characters and story are simplified primarily because this adaptation is only around 30 minutes long, and such concessions HAD to be made.
"The interesting thing about this adaptation is that when scrooge is in the grave and the fire comes from the coffin, it implies that HELL exists and scrooge will go there. Dickens however, played not on the religious morality but on how scrooge is thought of and how people react to his death"
Yes, but that part was in homage, most likely, to the 1970 Christmas Carol film.
I think there are some parts missing. If I'm right doesn't The ghost of christmas present and Scrooge visit Donald and his wife. Also isn't there more scenes of Cratchit and his family.
@ShadowCutie Haha I know it's been a long time since you posted this but as I happen to watch this now, the goose is the uncle of the two geese in "The Aristocats" :) Merry Christmas !! :)
Eddie Carroll did such a good impression of Cliff Edwards here, but on the Kingdom Hearts game he's almost twenty years older and hardly sounds anything like Edwards.
I always used to crack up at the part where The Ghost of Christmas Present grabs Scrooge and A little plume of feathers flies into the air(4:52)...it reminds you that, despite the personification, he is really a bird; it's cute!

I mean FIRE in a COFFIN??????
Isn't that a little disturbing? Burning corpses alive???? I think disney were drunk or something when they made this film. Really this could scare kids.
Good point. After all, one nightmare and a child's life is ruined forever... We have to protect them, insulate them, and only show them Candyland cartoons with gum drops, rainbows, and happy endings.
that was one the great disney moments, where anyone of anyage could watch that, and understand what was happening and not mind its more of a kid show.
Jim Carrey is making a remake of this movie for the Holidays 2009 he`s going to be Ebenezer and the ghosts of Past present and future I love this cartoon but I will be interested in that too
i went to wikipedia first but there were no credible sources. to send links all you have to do is copy and paste the address into the location you want.

Funny how Daisy played Isabelle in this, but in the actual cartoon world, she got married to Donald Duck instead lol.
