the viper was actually the faster car there, the audi just got off the line quicker, at the end of the race the viper was litterally nose and nose with the audi but the audi got about a 3 foot launch advantage at the start, good race tho!

Sedans are light because they aren't built for tracking...modding the sedan would give it a good p/w ratio. I think it's awesome and hilarious that this sedan is so fast, but I'd still take the viper (gts tho) for looks and handling :)

It's hardly modded to death, looks like about 600 hp maybe, possibly less. These things can easily be pushed to over 1000, this guy's just starting out. And it's still nicer inside than that viper.

I've owned 6 Audis including two Audi 200 20V Turbo Quattro, two Audi 100 Turbo Quattro and one Audi S2 2.2 Turbo Quattro, and so far, not a single stock american car has come anywhere near beating it. Especially on the highway.
This 200 looks and sounds stock to me.. maybe there has been a change of the ECU-chip, but that only increases the power with 20-40 HP..

A while ago there was a Real race here (circuit no stupid drag) There Was a 1000HP skyline fiste followed by a Evo 6 (600HP) (+0.2s) and a Viper SRT10 (800 hp)(+5.4s) Circuit Awd always wins. Drag says some things about the car, like power to weight and how a car can use that to it's advantage around a course since a track has straights as well. AWD aren't always faster then RWD, that's why most racecars are RWD. AWD just helps pull out of a sharp corner.

@2URBO2 its not a real muscle car.Unless it was made before 74, it isn't a muscle car.A small block duster stroked to 408, can run 10s easily, and can be capable on 9s. Thats way faster that a viper.Plus vipers are geared more to top end speed.

if u legit think ANY STOCK Audi (R8, A8, S5 or whatever) can beat a STOCK viper u are false. 2009 viper ACR.. 0-200 in 20.4 sec. top speed 255mph .. Bugatti veyron 0-200 in 24.4 sec. top speed 253mph. Viper> Bugatti and.. Audi = shit box.. the R8 doesnt even stand up to the viper, vette, mustang, Porsche or any other big name cars. Audi is a good car for a high school kid first though.

Look closely, and you will see that is a first generation Viper. Only good for low 13 second quarter mile times. The GTS came out in 1996, and runs 11.79 bone stock on factory tires (I own one, and have done it). A big enough turbo will make anything fast, but how long will it last between major failures/rebuilds? My heavily modified 95 Camaro would outrun my Viper, but I got tired of living in the garage keeping it running that way. My Viper runs 11.7s bone stock, year after year after year.

Blah Blah Blah...Car and Driver magazine, which is one of the most recognized car mags in the world always has this car (viper) as one of their high end cars. Try the corner handling or just try the Corvette. I could take my old CRX SI out there with a lil more horsepower, maybe 250 hp, instead of the 110 it had and ripped assholes everywhere. It all goes back to Bob Lob Law.

wel I say that audi has always whiped american ass on circuit ... (imsa gto , transam , pikes peak , it even had the record on the Talladega speedway in 1986 with a car complying to nascar rules) US just always altered the rules the year after (nascar only allowing Us build cars). offcoarse this drag is unfair because The viper is standard. In Race Awd beats RWD or FWD anyday. You should know that if you are such an experd. (ps watch the vid Secrets of Speed here on youtube)

I repeat.....STOCK. If there was any sort of work done to it, or if this was a 97 or higher era Viper, the Audi wouldn't have stood a chance. Don't be stupid. I've owned 6 Audis including two Audi 200 20V Turbo Quattro, two Audi 100 Turbo Quattro and one Audi S2 2.2 Turbo Quattro, and so far, not a single stock american car has come anywhere near beating it. Especially on the highway.
This 200 looks and sounds stock to me.. maybe there has been a change of the ECU-chip, but that only increases the power with 20-40 HP..

A while ago there was a Real race here (circuit no stupid drag) There Was a 1000HP skyline fiste followed by a Evo 6 (600HP) (+0.2s) and a Viper SRT10 (800 hp)(+5.4s) Circuit Awd always wins. Proven over a 1000 times . Smokin a Ferrari doesn't mean anything A German Saloon can smoke a ferrari. And Drag doesn't say antything about a car.

Drag says some things about the car, like power to weight and how a car can use that to it's advantage around a course since a track has straights as well. AWD aren't always faster then RWD, that's why most racecars are RWD. AWD just helps pull out of a sharp corner.
