  • I Love your recipe and I'm sure it's delicious - but there's just way too much salt content in it. I like to keep sodium really really low in my food. Kudos.

  • @Sviolinist

You do not have to use as much salt at all :-)

I did use homemade chicken broth that has no salt in it, thanks!

  • I just ate some like that, but my mom made. REALLY GOOD XD

  • @JU1C3Rr

Your Mom sounds like an excellent cook!

  • I just hatched an idea for a new cooking video. Make a grilled cheese sandwich with 10 slices of bread, tons of cheese and other good stuff like bacon on it. Oh yeah babe! That would be sweet!

  • here's a question: when adding fresh tomatoes to soups, shouldn't we blanch them first? my assumption is if you just chop up the tomato and put it in there and then cook it, you're going to wind up with a bunch of rolled up skin bits that are tough to chew (and digest).

  • @strigilives

If you desire to go that extra mile, that is fine

  • @strigilives The skin is the most healthy part to eat. That's my opinion =).

  • ALBONDIGAS freeeggen awseome i live in so cal and some of the people i work with make this the night before and then bring it to lunch the next day and WOW it really is better the nexy day after all the flavors have fornicated thanks for your inspiration my vid is in about 1 week or so peace from killafornia

  • @knothole5

Hey I lived in City Heights/San Diego for years, wish that I had never moved.

  • finally i find a good video for this recipe! this is my favorite mexican dish!! yum! thanks so much!

  • @xxBettyPagexx

    Thank you, I appreciate that!

  • This recipe makes my mouth watering.

  • @MadMacTennents

    Then I succeeded, thanks!

  • I think I watch these videos just to hear the "Thanks so much for watching" =)

  • @MsPoundDropper

Thanks, and I hope you might make this some day... you can even leave the meatballs out and have a wonderful veggie type soup!

  • this was one of my dads favorites

gonna have to make it in his honor soon :)

    xoexo

  • @edenbainbridge

That sounds like a great idea.

It is even good without the meatballs in my opinion.

  • Good food and good music always make me happy, even when I am not the one enjoying the food :)

  • @poobum50

    Thank you for that!

  • looks great man!!

  • @2000xlt

    Thank you!

  • So far so good. Those that wanted it a little hotter I gave them the sauce. Other than that all went excellent. I also made some elbow mac to go as a filler.

  • @pooterosa

Glad you enjoyed it, that you very much!

  • Ok. Made it. I doubled the recipe and the peppers. I had 2 spare pepper to go. Being down here in Louisiana this recipe is not spicy - I could have added the other 2 and then some. I have Sriracha sauce that will fix that as I serve it. I also bought a Baguette bread to serve with it because I seen in the comments to maybe serve it with a hard bread. Good idea.

  • @pooterosa

Awesome, and I hope you liked it!

  • Great idea...Looks good!!

  • @TheVittleVlog

I took 2 recipes and merged them into one...

Awesome results if I do say so.... Thanks Rick!

  • I'm going to make this tomorrow and thinking of making a really big portion of it, then freeze the soup and the raw meatballs by each other. Do you think that would work? And then just cook the meatballs when heating a portion?

  • @andersbrtlsn

Freezing your way will work if you stop at the step before you add the tomatoes, zucchini and meatballs, that is just my opinion.

  • I'm going to make this today. Looks very good. I'll use your suggestion to add more chilies and bread crumbs too.

  • @pooterosa

Ah, I love people that read the description, thank you for that!

I absolutely love this easy soup, if your are sensitive to spice, the 2 chilies are enough.

It was just about perfect for most people, but I do like spicy :)

  • I love soup and I love making it. I make a meatball soup with wild rice which is good. This looks like some real comfort food for winter.

Oh! I have to go comment on one of your previous videos if I can find it.

  • @Perroquet51

It has been cold for a couple days, soup is so good right now, thanks Marc!

  • i loooooooveeeee soupps!

im going to have to try this :)

I hope you do try it, thanks!

  • i love your videos, man. and so much more professional looking now than when i started watching back in 09!

  • @yukmust

Yes, I learn as I go, thanks!

  • Looks simple but really tasty. Thank you for posting this!! I've never made meatball soup - but it's on the list to try now :) Warm wishes as always, Q.

  • @AMlovesLady

I will think about it, thanks!

  • @freitasex No problem, you deserve it :)

  • That looks really good. If I were to attempt to make soup it would be nice and meaty like this one! Thanks for sharing! :)

  • @skatexpress

    Thank you!

  • Looks delicious! My family usually uses Mint in the Albondigas instead of Cilantro. It seriously gives it a great flavor. Thanks for sharing this video.

  • @playarette2k3

Mint is a great idea, thanks!

  • that looks amazing , michael :3

    <3

  • @chinesedude001

    Thank you Michael!

  • Big YUMMMMMMMMM!!!!

  • @hallbe

    Thank you so much Ben!

  • Your videos are so good and so relaxing Michael, it's like an orgasm :) ! No seriously I really love what you do and I think you should make more than 1 video a week. Thanks for EXISTING :D

  • @GCgame

I will try to have more than 1 from time to time CG

I think the world of you!

  • I always look forward to your videos, i have never made meatball soup but it looks so easy and i bet it tastes good, especially on a cold winters day, thanks

    :-)

  • @twish1999

Gosh, this is worth making and trying.

    Thank you so much!

  • Once again Michael, you made me hungry, I'll make this soon, cheers!, oh tell Benson I said Hi.

  • @jeremybalce

Benson is busy licking himself... lol, I will tell he in a few minutes.

  • @jeremybalce

I mean.... I will tell him in a few minutes...

    Well he is done...

    He said 'meow'

  • Wow, that really looks good. I might make this next week!

  • @andersbrtlsn

Gosh, I am sure you will like it, hope you make it :)

  • looks very hearty, will try this week definitely!

  • @SouthernSky

Calvin, this is so cheap to make and the broth is especially good.

Next time I will add a bit of bread crumbs to the meatballs to make them more tender.

  • I would have bet anything that you had to brown the meatballs to keep them from falling apart. How cool that you don't - it makes it so much simpler and frankly less messy. Yum. Thank you. Oh - and I'd never heard of it with the M, only the B - so that was neat to learn as well. Hey, I hope you're having fun!

  • @thizizliz

The M is Philippine, the B is Mexican or Latino, both recipes are a bit different so I combined them into one.

I am home now, went to Nashville for 1 day, it was SO great to meet Beth and Tammy, and none the less... Gigi,

    I love them so much!

  • Respond to this video...

Do you know who I mean by Gigi?

I want to sub to her channel.

  • @freitasex Yes; ABQdoubleG. She's a love! There are so many great people on YouTube! They were so excited to meet you too. I want to go next year. Ahh - I like the comboof the M and the B. It made a nice soup. Good cold weather foods. Yes, do sub to Gigi - she is an irregular vlogger but fun and you'll see her out and about in the west. I love her driving vlogs.

  • @freitasex Gigi's channel is ABQdoubleG if that helps. :)

  • @IWalk4tnt

    Thank you :)

  • I watch your videos every Saturday, thank you so much for taking the time to post these! :)

  • @squalea

    Thank you Dave, appreciate that!

  • Homemade soups are the best. Maybe do a follow up and show us how to make homemade stock.

  • @nappychef35

I have thought about doing that, maybe I should do stock, thanks!

  • I was thinking of making these the other day. I was taught its suppose to be mint that goes inside of them but cilantro is far better so thats what I use. I could tastes your soup. You made it and used every ingredient I would have. I would probably have added a squeeze of lime at the end. Such a good soup!!!

  • @Scorpion11381

Aw, man, thank you so much Rene!

Lime would be awesome and thank you for suggesting that.

To me... the broth was the best part.

  • don't you have to roll the balls in bread crumbs to make them stick?

  • @asiantrolls

You do not have to do it that way, but actually I think I will use bread crumbs next time.

The bread crumbs make the meat go farther and makes the meat balls more tender.

Thank you for your suggestion my friend!

  • That looks so good right about now =)

  • @TheRealtalk617

I so agree with you and thanks!

  • That is the bomb!

  • @AirrowRocket

    Thank you!

    Thank you very much!

  • Looks great, Michael. I think the addition of tomato is a great idea!

  • @myrasmedia

    Thanks Sis :)

  • Looks delish!

  • @orbital151

    Thank you!

  • so good for winter :) Love your little rolling bowl hahaha. That came to a nice consistency and looked quite light, not too heavy. Nice job :D I love spicy food :) I put smoked paprica spice in all my veggies :D

  • @MissPonderosa

Oh the paprika sounds excellent, thank you for that!

  • Thank you very much for this video :)

  • @Najah971

    My pleasure, you are welcome!

  • Hi Michael! I was wondering if you could try making somekind of Scandinavian dishes sometimes?

  • @FrogsAreMyThing

I will think about that, thanks!

  • Very interesting combo of ingredients!! I'll have to give this a try. BTW have you done a stuffed cabbage recipe? (the meatball mix reminded me of the cabbage filling) I would love to have your recipe for that dish too

Hope you made it to ST and are having a great time

  • @jcrefasi1

I do have a stuffed cabbage video, it is not normal, I may do a normal one in time.

    I did go to SouthTube5 for a day :)
