if i'm not mistaken it's a medusa and not a fried egg jelly fish.
i'm not sure though.

so today i was with my friend swimming in sliema and we saw 7 of these species. the larges on was at least 22cm in diameter

@Sharkeologist I was swimming with my friends this year in Greece when a swarm of 6 of these surrounded us-the largest one was almost 40 cm in diameter. Luckily, no one got stinged... :)
