My regards for a fellow artist..very cool man..very cool..i myself am trying to find a style of my own..i can draw pretty good (as many people say) but i can't seem to find a single style to draw with..wanna give me some tips on that?

@159tony Style will come on its own, don't worry about that. My tips is to draw at least 4 hrs a day. But if you are serious then +8 hrs a day. ;-)

I'd love to experiment drawing this way, but the drawing tablets are way too expensive.

I see in the desciption you use PS CS2, and a Wacom Intuos3 pen. Which arent too expensive to get, but you must also be useing a tablet yes? Which one..., they all seem fairly expensive.

I think I'll still to drawing on paper.

A shame, because you can get this painting like effect without actually buying paint or dealing with the mess ;)

@Nola213 If you do a quick ebay search you can probably find something decent at the right price. I use a shitty off brand tablet and the difference between it and a 300 dollar tablet is really just that "professional" feeling you get with the slightly higher precision and sensitivity control. but those aren't totally necessary, especially not for a first tablet, because it is just like learning a new medium.

@Nola213 ituos3 isnt just a pen, its also a tablet, which is the one he uses. if you're looking for a fairly professional tablet for not too much money, i would recomend the trust TB 7300, it's the one i use at the moment and i love it, more than the wacom i used before

@Nola213 start out with a WACOM bamboo pen. their only 70 -200 depending on what soft ware u want with them...he's using gimp 2.6 which is a free software.

I downloaded GIMP 2.0 for free and I got used to my tablet real easy, just like using a pencil on paper. The tablet's texture is designed to replicate paper to make the transition from paper to computer easier. Have fun =]

Great art, terrible tutorials. Im sorry but you dont really teach anything that isnt obvious, you need to elaborate more on what type of techniques you are using, brush types and sizes, you dont even specify what software you are using or what type of tablet. By the way its Heath Ledger, not Kid Ledger.

And art doesn't have to be done with a pencil and pen; digital art requires the exact same amount of skill, it doesn't do the work for you. The difference between digital and traditional is like the difference between acrylic and oils. Neither is better or worse, harder or easier, they're just different.
