hey try downloading this program, i had the same problem trying to install many programs until i found about it in my antivirus site, the program is Called [Windows Install Clean Up] it cleans all the traces that ur old program left in ur computer so that u can reinstall it again from the beginning , it worked for me hope it works for you.
Hmm yea i have the same problem a lot too but your lucky you can make youtube videos i cant no more because some is wrong with my windows installer package too so i cant even update my flip share which is what you need to download that comes with my camcorder so your lucky you can even make youtube videos...
Can u help me?? i tried to install NET framework 2.0 but in the middle of the installation i get this message "Theres is a problem with the Windows Installer Package, please refer to the set up log for more info." then i have no other option but to cancel the installation then the whole thing rolls back. Im having a similiar problem, the dreaded "windows installer cant be acsessed" error, i've tried everything that MS suggests and still nothing, i cant even uninstall the installer, or install the clean up utility, so i know how you feel.
Start the Windows Installer service 1. Click Start, type Services.msc and press {ENTER} 2. Double-click Windows Installer 3. Set the Startup type of Windows Installer to Manual 4. Click Start to start the service. Note down the error message if any. 5. Click OK.
