More bombs were dropped on Chinese forces in the Korean War than all of the Pacific Campaign of WW2, yet China forced the US into an armistice.

The entire war is what is called a Proxy War. Where the north and south had external aid, but these forces never directly attacked each other.

The reality is, China's economy is already larger than two of Europe's largest economies COMBINED. And in another 15 years, be larger than the combined GDP of the 27 member EU. They're estimates of course, but they are a well respect magazine. I just looked it up in wikipedia as well. They're outdated in that they use 2010 estimates. But the writers of the wikipedia articles cite the IMF, Worldbank, and The CIA Factbook as reference. The latest annual Economist 2012 edition are already making estimates for 2012.
