  • hi,where did you get it from?

  • i like ur accent.

  • thanks loved the vid wantin a snake :)

  • She's gorgeous. And great terrarium set up too. I'm sure she's very happy, indeed.

  • Wich are the diferences between roght and smooth grenn snake? thanks

  • is this a good starting snake

  • I hate when people act like snakes are such horrifying creatures. I love animals, and a lot of people do too, but in that bunny-fuzzy-cute way. I love animals because they are interesting and special creatures.

  • OK i watched your vid but I have a few questions... so they NEED UV? what UV do they need if they need it? how many crickets do they eat a week and how many each time? can they eat meat/pinky mice/fish? PLEASE SOMEONE REPLU!!! I really wanna know. Thanks ,

    Will / WMRP - (WMRProductions)

  • @WMRProduction arent there places online you can look up info, wiki at least?

  • Do you use 2.0 UVB or 5.0?

  • okay so i really want to get one and i already have a tank with two frogs in it and a ton of vines and hiding places in it. if i get the snake it would eat them correct?

  • @sourwillard9 also the frogs are big eyed tree frogs

  • @sourwillard9 I doubt it would eat them but i wouldn't say its a good idea to put them in the same tank

  • very nice video! I've heard that they live shortly in captivity... Is that true? around 3 years or so... that will really suck because i want one so bad! :)

    Thanks!

  • @wendigolycan

Well ours has been going strong for 2 years with no problems apart from mites once !! There is a myth they don't live long but as long as you get the set-up right you should be ok

  • @wendigolycan they can live 15 years

  • @wendigolycan they live up to 15 yrs in captivity

  • would a fully grown rough green snake be okay in a 29 gallon tank

  • @cartoonfreack328

Should be ok ! they can get up too 3 foot but they are very thin

  • What a beautiful animal! Thanks for posting this. I am researching these guys currently, and so far their care and requirements seem to be somewhat challenging, but I should be well-prepared by the time I decide to get one. I hope someone will captively breed them sometime in the near future.

  • @PhoenixBorealis

Good luck when you get one ! And yes finding captive bread ones is neon impossible

  • I kept a green snake I found in the woods for over a year without any lamps or heaters, I only put it in the sun. It was perfectly fine the whole time, and no it didnt die i released it that next spring. Oh yeah... try not to let it go in a bookshelf lol.

  • How much up-keep does the snake have? I am looking at getting one.. but I am in college and need something that doesn't require a TON of cleaning/feeding..

how often do you clean the cage and feed it?

  • @choobplaya Hi, they are not the best snake for someone who doesn't have much time ! They need cleaning often, also there tank needs spraying multiple times a day etc etc. And also if you don't handle them often they go wild :)

  • hello, im planning to have this wonderful green snake and i have few question before i make a decision to have one.

first, how difficult or easy to take care of the snake?

second, what is the suitable case size for a snake?

third, is the UV light necessary or a table lamp should be fine?

forth, do i have to buy supplements or other additional diets instead of just feed it crickets and other insects?

fifth, how long does this snake live?

im a newbe so forgive me if my questions look very noob

  • do thay bother dogs that is y my mum wont lit me have one

  • do thay bother dogs that is y my mum wont lit me have one

  • where did u get it

  • yup, pretty nice setup. one recommendation, i would put some more foliage in there, and higher up. remember, with this species, the more places you give them to hide, the more they come out in the open! kinda strange, but it's true. they also don't like handling very much, it stresses them out, so its mainly a display animal. but u seem to be doing a fine job with yours! cheers!

  • thanks so much. you are right there are not a lot of info on these snakes and your purpose in this video is exactly why i watched it! thanks for all the help!

  • Thanks for the video, very helpful to see the set up. As you say, not much info on this breed out there! Unlike corn snakes etc. Thanks again! Rach
