@demerc global warming wouldn't be a good thing. there are many negatives to it. it leads to acidification of our oceans which destroys fragile ecosystems like coral reefs which many species of animals depend on. it would also lead to greater amounts of more powerful storms due to the warmer atmosphere. many animals such as amphibians could suffer from a warmer climate. many animals are sensitive to even minor changes in the temperature of the climate.

Im not sure where i stand on the global warming front, I live in Canada and I have for most of my life. I remember our winters being cold with lots of snow. The last five years or so have been winters with less then 3 feet of snow and tempertures above freezing one day and the next will be minus -25 C and colder. I see this happening with my own eyes and I can't help to seek answers.

@demerc global warming wouldn't be a good thing. there are many negatives to it. it leads to acidification of our oceans which destroys fragile ecosystems like coral reefs which many species of animals depend on. it would also lead to greater amounts of more powerful storms due to the warmer atmosphere. many animals such as amphibians could suffer from a warmer climate. many animals are sensitive to even minor changes in the temperature of the climate.

Relax. College is a school, a collage is an art project. The theory of Global Warming caused by human emissions was introduced in 1896 by Arrhenius, it's not a new theory. Why would you listen to scientists in the 60's but not today? Science builds on itself and moves forward learning more as more questions are answered and brought up.
