Spiderman the movie was in some ways great lots of action, etc. but other ways terrible in comic he didn't kill burgular or let burgular die, he didn't leave webs at school to reveal who he was, his fight with Flash he knocked Flash out with a single punch not jumping around revealing who he was as in movie, could have been done with sequels as Goblin kills Gwen who he met and dated before MJ. Gwen only in sequel after Goblin dead. Peter built web shooters and tracking devices left out of movie.
Dare Devil had Murdock fighting Elektra made no sense how is he going to keep his identity secret that way, however the movie had a lot of action in it and yeah it departed from the comic, but almost all the comic movies depart from the comic, also King Pin knowing his secret at end and not killing him made no sense as King Pin could kill his love ones and maybe get Murdock's convictions appealed in comic Murdock was a defense attorney not a prosecutor.
Where does Superman 1948 serial version fit in, I never actually saw it but read the flying scenes were animation which back then meant cartoons. @goldwaterproductions It was both for me. At the time I was a big fan of The Matrix Trilogy they boasted V all from the creators of the Matrix, etc. And it just let me down. I got full throttle geek when I rented it. Ordered take out, my girl was there, junk was all up in stereo speakers...kid I was hype. And there wasn't a lot of action, the ending is super anti-climactic and cheesy. And since the Wackoski brothers have done nothing as interesting as the 1st Matrix.

Smallville ran ten seasons without Superman wearing his famous costume except the Last episode so what's the big deal about Punisher not wearing a comic book costume. for one movie? They changed costumes for Xmen and Batman's most recent movies also to be taken more seriously also. Xmen first class has costumes similar to original costumes but not original Xmen in it except the prof. Even though it takes place in 1963 when the Xmen originally came out.
There is no such thing as a comic book that "should not" be made into a movie. A quality writer and director can make a good movie out of almost anything.
If they stopped making Batman movies after Burton quit, we wouldn't have gotten the Nolan ones.
Obviously the Dare Devil did well enough that they did the Electra movie sequel. Yeah wasn't close enough to comics as most comic movies aren't. Punisher had lots of action left skull off costume to be taken more seriously. Richie Rich was out because McCulley Culken was so popular at the time. Yeah lost almost all of characters personality and traits in Fantatic Four movie but did in xmen also. Iceman a little kid when should have been an adult and Rouge more like kitty pride than Rouge.
Excellent list. I am glad you included Fantastic Four. Also there can be little doubt Alien Vs Predator should be on top. A movie that killed two franchises and further solidified Paul Anderson as the worst director this side of Uwe Boll deserved nothing but scorn.
Wow, Daredevil was a pretty good film, especially the R Rated version. Fantastic Four was a great attempt, but the sequel was better. The Crow: Salvation was great, Wicked Prayer was the shitbomb, at least this film tried to be different. The Punisher was ok for what it was, it was better than War Zone that's for sure and Rochie Rich is a guilty pleasure, but does suck in the long run. Now you could have had Superman 4, Howard the Duck, Barb Wire, Tank Girl, Steel those were more deserving.

Did you even watch Daredevil? Yes he kills at the begining, but by the end of it, learns not to, thus he lets Kingpin live. Remember the "I'm not the bad guy" arc? And if you hate superheroes who don't kill in the comics, killing in movies, where were the Burton Batman films on this list?

@MrCatitude Wrong, it started in the comicbook Dark Horse Presents number 36 from the year 1989, I should know, I saw the original issue in a comic shop. And the first movie to make a reference to the concept taken from the comic was Predator 2 with Danny Glover from the year 1990. Not the 1987 original Predator film with Arnie. About a year later (1991) The Predators made their first appearance in a superhero comic 'Batman vs Predator'.

@PunkymickBlah agreed. And the main issue with AVP wasn't the humans and predators working together. it was the fact that aliens were on earth. The common goal of the series was to keep the aliens away from human civilization. so AVP spat on the face of that concept and basically has nothing to do with the alien series in my opinion.

Nonetheless it was exposure for the Batman franchise and people learned from it, besides Batman has survived and come out stronger than ever and is very likely the number one superhero for many people.
He's completely wrong about Daredevil. Affleck was the least problematic thing with the movie. The soundtrack, the writing, the fight scenes, and the directing all made the movie suck. The actors did everything they could to not suck. Also Daredevil goes back and forth with the Punisher over whether or not to kill villains.

you might have to redo the list after recen movies: spiderman 3, x men 3, blade 3. i see a common theme on 3s. you can also add iron man 2, any punisher, superman 2006, the hulk in 2003. there are so many, you will have to do a top 20

There is no such thing as a comic book that "should not" be made into a movie. A quality writer and director can make a good movie out of almost anything.
If they stopped making Batman movies after Burton quit, we wouldn't have gotten the Nolan ones.

Obviously the Dare Devil did well enough that they did the Electra movie sequel. Yeah wasn't close enough to comics as most comic movies aren't. Punisher had lots of action left skull off costume to be taken more seriously. Richie Rich was out because McCulley Culken was so popular at the time. Yeah lost almost all of characters personality and traits in Fantatic Four movie but did in xmen also. Iceman a little kid when should have been an adult and Rouge more like kitty pride than Rouge.

Excellent list. I am glad you included Fantastic Four. Also there can be little doubt Alien Vs Predator should be on top. A movie that killed two franchises and further solidified Paul Anderson as the worst director this side of Uwe Boll deserved nothing but scorn.

Wow, Daredevil was a pretty good film, especially the R Rated version. Fantastic Four was a great attempt, but the sequel was better. The Crow: Salvation was great, Wicked Prayer was the shitbomb, at least this film tried to be different. The Punisher was ok for what it was, it was better than War Zone that's for sure and Rochie Rich is a guilty pleasure, but does suck in the long run. Now you could have had Superman 4, Howard the Duck, Barb Wire, Tank Girl, Steel those were more deserving.

Did you even watch Daredevil? Yes he kills at the begining, but by the end of it, learns not to, thus he lets Kingpin live. Remember the "I'm not the bad guy" arc? And if you hate superheroes who don't kill in the comics, killing in movies, where were the Burton Batman films on this list?
And Fantastic Four? Seriously? You didn't have Superman 3, Superman 4, Ghost Rider, Steel, Supergirl, or Howard the Duck, but you put Fantastic Four and Daredevil? How many CBMs have you actually seen?

@MrCatitude Wrong, it started in the comicbook Dark Horse Presents number 36 from the year 1989, I should know, I saw the original issue in a comic shop. And the first movie to make a reference to the concept taken from the comic was Predator 2 with Danny Glover from the year 1990. Not the 1987 original Predator film with Arnie. About a year later (1991) The Predators made their first appearance in a superhero comic 'Batman vs Predator'.

The common goal of the series was to keep the aliens away from human civilization. so AVP spat on the face of that concept and basically has nothing to do with the alien series in my opinion.

Nonetheless it was exposure for the Batman franchise and people learned from it, besides Batman has survived and come out stronger than ever and is very likely the number one superhero for many people.

He's completely wrong about Daredevil. Affleck was the least problematic thing with the movie. The soundtrack, the writing, the fight scenes, and the directing all made the movie suck. The actors did everything they could to not suck. Also Daredevil goes back and forth with the Punisher over whether or not to kill villains.

Dude, that FF 94 film wasn't ever released, and FF 05 shouldn't be bad enough to make this list. However, I totally agree with Batman and Robin and AVP.
Also, what you said about how AVP could've been done is a great idea, although I'd keep the premise originally established. Critics would call the movie "dumb" or "mindless" if all the movie is is humans, Aliens, and Preds tearin each other apart. Still, great list!
