  • By the way the Excitebike for the wii is lame. The NES version is WAY better.

  • I got the game but I can't play it anymore cause My nintendo is lost ._.

  • the console (and pc) companies themselves fight piracy since the beginnings, sony with the unmodable ps3, ms with xbox live bans and pc companies with lame-ass copy protection systems

ironically, nintendo is the least active piracy fighter these days because the wii and the ds sales alone bring them pure profit

  • concerning illegal rom downloading: their possesion is illegal, yes, but some games allow you to make a backup copy. it depends wholly on the rights the publisher gives you. some allow you to make a backup copy and some allow you to install the game just thice (stupid but its their right)

anyway, you won't get moved down by the fbi if you dl some old roms and games. the newer games are more the problem (not to mention those that 'leak' before the actual release)

  • While you`re running back to your bike, you can push the A or B Button as often as you can (1 or 2 Button if you have the Virtual Console Game) - you`ll get faster to the bike then.

  • Nintendo is making a new Excitebike game for WiiWare which is like the NES version but amped up and you can change camera angles. The custom track feature is back and you can share those tracks with other people from around the world via Wi-Fi connection.

Coming to the Wii Shop Channel November 9th, 2009.

*feels like i just made up an ad*

  • emulators aren't illegal, btw, roms are

  • not entirely true:

It's legal to have the rom if you own the original game.

And it's legal (in most cases) if the game is abandonware. Which means:

Either the original developer is no more, and no one has the copy rights.

The original developer hasn't pro-longed the copyright

    :)

There are tonns of formerly commercial games downloadable for free, and a 100% legal. Just google search abandonware :P

  • abandonware is not legal at all. It takes 70 years after the original makers death for something to become public domain. Even if a developer is bankrupt, a real human still made the game, and you must wait until 70 years after their death for it to be public domain.

Many games have been made freeware by their original makers, but thats a different story.

  • abandonware may not be prefecly legal, but it still sports games that give barely any profit, if at all

  • thats not quite true, the games that aren't officialy made freeware are still in the 'grey' zone

and I think nintendo and other companies consider roms as illeagal, no matter if you own the original

  • Great game, the music makes me lol so hard

  • like farts, luls

  • i have that for the nes :P A is single (or time trial) b is racing vs comps :P its ok not the best, tho the crashing is funny xD

  • I'm sorry but that looked incredibly boring to me.

  • lol i used to hate this game now i like it
