My dad is 51 years old. He has only had 1 flu shot his entire life. When he was 32 he was forced to take the flu shot because he worked as a custodian in a hospital and there was a flu outbreak. Now you may say, hey he was around sick patients, but he had worked in that hospital for 7 years and the one time he got the flu in 51 years happened to be the same time he got his flu shot. He hasn't taken a flu shot since, guess what, worse he's gotten so far is mild summer allergies since then...

I haven't had the flu in almost 15 years. And when I did, I drank plenty of fluids and kept my temp down below 101*F like my Mama always taught me.
