strong move through the ball and good finish but you've got problems with your takeaway.First,at address the right arm and shoulder should be lower than the left. Then, you want to keep your triangle until your hands are waste high,THEN you rotate your left arm and drop the club into the slot.
this is a nice golf swing arm plane alittle steep at the top and alittle flat going back but it gets back on a perfect swing plane on the downswing clubface angle perfect with left wrist very nice dude, checkout my lessons at hitmanhawky thanks your friend hitmanhawky
Talking about Golf grips, When you pick up a golf club your hands are the only part of your body that touch the club. For many years the hands (grip) have often been referred to as the steering wheel of the golf swing. I don’t believe this could be more true. Gripping the golf club correctly makes playing this game a much better experience. w w w (dot) golferbreak80 (dot) c0m
Just some observations: A) It looks like your feet are too close together; B) Your left armpit should stay more connected to your side (try holding a towel under your armpit for practice); C) Try to keep your head at a constant height...(it looks like it drops quite a bit from the start of your downswing thru impact) ; D) Pretty nice swing...good swing plane. Your swing just needs tightened-up, which will increase your consistency.
That's a nice Ray Floyd backswing but it looks like you just slid threw the ball on the downswing. I don't know, I need to see this in real time but I imagined that your ball finished right rough/trees
Exactly the right comparison (Floyd)--strong rotation combined with a lift, then a rearward loop. Seems a fraction steep on the downswing, too. On the other hand, Ray Floyd was an ass-kicker, so...
To me it looks like, A) you're too upright in your backswing, B) You let your lower body fall forward through the downswing forcing your head to drop, and C) after impact, your club travels inside the line of flight, however, it is too inside the line of flight, which will probably cause you to hit a big hook eventually.
seriously though, your shoulders are coming off plane on the downswing. if you start them down and keep them on-plane, your left arm can raise coming through the ball and straightening out your club path and give you a tiger like finish. get two hank haney line lazers, attach them to each end of a broomstick or whatever, put it on your shoulder and practice turning them on plane. (aim line lazers on target line, you'll figure it out) cheers
Not a bad swing. you take the club to the outside in the backswing though, and it is laid off at the top. The downswing is sequenced nicely though, but with the club off plane at the top you probably fade the ball a lot.
I'm not sure I completely agree with your analysis. (WADR). The points I notice about the swing are a very low ball flight with the clubhead moving from inside the target line to outside prior to impact. It did appear that the hands were flipping the clubface closed through impact, we really see the arms turning th club over around 1:44, which of course is a difficult manipulation to control.
You are to upright at address, the last thing you need to do is get farther away from the ball! Check that your primary swing plane is running through the belt buckle (see Tiger). Stop lift in the backswing and start working on turning more with the shoulders, limit the over rotation of the lower body. Get that fixed and then post another video.
If you want reliable advice, go see a local PGA Professional(like myself). The last thing you are is flat. The club is laid off at the top of your swing, and your path is a bit outside during the takeaway, but that is mainly because you stand very upright. I would contemplate backing away just a bit and dropping your hands so they come close to hanging straight down from your shoulders. Very good release through impact.
lets see, your stance is closed at setup, you take the club ay outside at take away, and your too flat. work on that before you put your shit all on the internet.
stop the swing at shoulder height and put a ruler down the shaft. at this point it should go through the ball ..you are way outside meaning your flat! You also drag it out to in possibly compensating for the slice that the O to I swing gives.
keep your posture as you make your downswing, think of top two ribs staying "up." When you do this you will be aware of how the arms might need to drop a little bit more (on downswing), then you might be a spitting image of Garcia. This will also fix your club path through ball. BTW check out my trainer on my channel.
The best advice I can give you is the same as the President of the Northern California Sector of the PGA told me when I first went to work for him: "You're going to hear a lot of advice from a lot of good golfers around here. Pick one as your instructor and stick with him." Too many cooks spoil the broth. Keep practicing and good luck!
i would suggest that you open your legs up a bit more closer to shoulder width apart if not just a tad bit more and if you could just get your hips pointing to the target a bit quicker (get them out of the way of your arms), you would have some very good ball flight.
You have the basis of a very good swing. I'd like to see you stop taking it back outside the line though. That is causing you to lay it off at the top and will give you less margin for error through the impact zone. Good stuff and good luck.
what kind of video camera did you use to take that.... because i have never seen one capture that many frames in a golf swing other than the ones on tv used in tour events
The camera itself is some super expensive hi tech camera that companies typically use for analyzing their factory equipment. I asked one of the sales reps if I rent one for the weekend - Cost me a hundred bucks plus shipping to demo it for the weekend. I did have to sign my life away however - the camera is super expensive - like 9000 bucks. The camera wrote the movie to a flash card in mpeg format. It was pretty straight forward - I just pulled the card out and dropped it on my laptop.
Not a great swing to be honest. poor take away and completely loses the line at the top. i'de expect a lot of shots blocked out to the right with this swing. Will need very fast hands to clear his right side regularly.
A classic two-plane swing. Brings it high and upright, drops it onto plane and crushes. A lot like DL3. If you're consistent, I wouldn't change a thing.
You have a great swing. Fun to watch. Are you a bit off plane on the takeback? You shaft is pointing a foot to the right of the target line. Shouldn't it be pointing at the ball? (From a dumb 16 hcp'er)
SB - I think you're right. I am off plane on the takeback - I'm a bit too steep. At the top of my swing the shaft of the club should be parallel to my hips and feet.
when you raise the club, your hand goes above your shoulder ....you should keep your hands little bit below your shoulder or on same height to your shoulder
Buddy nice golf swing! Hey what camera did you shoot that with? Yours or some special scientific or Varsity camera? I'd love to know. Also what software did you export it to?

The takeaway is over rated, don't listen to these guys. What matters is the impact position and you have a great delivery into impact on plane.

your club head needs to stay parallel to the swing plane throughout the backswing

it helps to hit the ball high on the face to decrease spin lessening the effect of the tractor beam of the u.f.o.
DocCrunch 3 years ago
neat video. love the downswing, very tight and great lag. staying through the hitting zone nicely.
i feel that your set up can be more athletic and the upswing possibly a little less vertical.
but, everyone has his own swing,,,if it works, keep it.
great job!
