Same thing happened to mine recently, but for a very easy and short time fix is very simple. If they can hear you but you can't hear them all you have to do is go to preferences and change the voice to come out of your speakers instead of your headset. Worked for me.

for all people who cant hear other people talking. you need to take the head set apart and "clean" the connections on the two wires that connect to the circuit on the earpiece. it happened to me and i just fixed it.

i can talk through mine and my friends can hear it its just that i cant hear my friends through the mic , i can hear them through the tv instead

@BeNnN674321 that definately sounds like a speaker problem to me then.... i dont exactley know a place where you can get a new speaker only but im just guessing that the speaker is your problem. i mean if your mic works, and they hear you, and you hear them through the TV, im pretty sure its your speaker.

well im not an expert but the only thing i can think of is to open it up and maybe the wires are touching, or maybe one isnt connected to the mic. if they cant hear you, and its not a connection problem (like not having an open NAT) thats really the only thing i can think of. so yea, sorry dude but i hope you get it fixed

it may be the actual mic, that you see in the vid, that is a small disk like thing, is either totally broken. or a wire connecting to the mic is broken,(in that case just replace the wire) or one wire is touching the other wire right next to it.(in that case move the wire over and put some electrical tape around it so it dont touch anymore) other than that i have no idea, im not that educated how these work.

i reccommend you cut out that section of wire, replace with simlar guage wire, and solder both ends.....basically just making a better connection. but then again i have no idea how EXACTLEY your mic is broken.
