@myparrots1 - I have not listened to these headphones so I can't comment officially. My guess however is that these are the flatest frequency response headphones you've ever listened to myparrots. Thus, no artifical bass enhancing color coming out of the head phones. That being said, I REALLY wish I had a a pair of these headphones. They are more expensive than my loudspeaker monitoring system lol!

@ManUnited10r humans can hear from 20 to 20khz. these headphones can "hear" wayyy past what humans can hear to make sure that every frequency we do hear while listening to them is almost a perfect representation of the audio you're running through these. and these headphones aren't supposed to be bass BIASED. if you could see these headphones across a frequency spectrum, it should be a flat line because all of the the frequencies are at the same level for accurate referencing.

@kobibok That just depends on what volume you have it at. Sennheiser's goal isn't to make LOUDER headphones, it is to make headphones with the clearest sound quality possible. Sure, they will get loud, but they will also play quietly if you want to turn them down. I'm not saying to buy these headphones (this particular model is RIDICULOUSLY expensive) but loudness is not necessarily dependent on the headphones so much as it is dependent on the volume you set it at.

The cables i use on these would cost more then the headphones and they are considered by those who have tried then to be the best headphone cables available.

It seems that you like mainstream hip-hop, rap, popular music a lot and... needless to say actually that type of music sucks in terms of sound quality compared to well recorded music like orchestra, classical, acoustic, jazz and blues specially with these headphones (or in any headphones in general) . I guess you already know that.

I guess you are enjoying, like me, the awesome huge, razor precision and deep soundstage of these headphones. ;-)

@JADJuanan I've actually only been using the HD800's to listen to Classical, Jazz and Symphony and some soul which these sound great with, i use my customs on the go for the other music and i have some GS1000i on the way.

I've only had a chance to listen to them for a few times without any burn in but liked them straight away and have them burning in now.

They actually sound very good out of my SR-71B also which i did not expect.

hehe, well done then. I'm using the HD800's driven by the SPL Phonitor amplifier which is among the best of the best. The result is almost night and day in soundstage, dynamics and clarity. So effortless. It's a bit pity that yours are not reaching their full potential currently.

@Elm8n i have no IEM's that cost $1500 and my JH16's are the most expensive at $1150 but the HD800's sound awesome, i've not had a good chance to listen to them properly yet but the couple of times i have listened to them so far has blown me away, i will do a review soon of all my gear and compare them, i will also be doind an unboxing of some £1000 Grado GS1000 when i get a chance.

@wiredtunes Also these dont have as much bass as some other headphones out there and i love good powerfull deep bass but surprisingly i actually quite like these and the bass is very detailed, when i listening to these and close my eyes i actually feel like im in the same room where the music is being played and i never got that with any of my other headphones or customs, these sound amazing, and are really comfortable, i actually fell asleep for a couple hours earlier while listening to them.
