  • i noticed your ? in the description. I would love a tutorial on full song creation in trance (or dubstep :)) like all the basic elements commonly used together to get a professional sounding track.

  • The last two notes in your arp should be ascending towards your root note instead of away. Gives your melody a better flow when repeated mulitple times as yours is... but thats my opinion

    Good work tho!

  • Whats the name of this song?

  • You're awsome!!!!

  • Bravo!! Naprawde fajny pomocnik :)

  • Hello. I see at 4min 40 you change the piano roll from your lead to your bass. Your Lead notes then still show, only grayed out. That is very useful. How do I do that? When I change to another synth the previous notes do not show anymore. Only the Active synth notes show. I'm also on FL Studio 9 Thank you in advance.

  • @dcadjust you need to enable the "view ghost channel" at Piano Roll > arrow at top left > view > view ghost channel

  • wow....that was amazing!

  • OH MY GOD SO PRO SO COOL SO AMAZING

  • fucking pro

  • TRANCE

  • Very nice tutorial, good work. I just want to know one thing though... How do you link the 3 instances of V-Station to one midi channel like that!? I had no idea this was possible and it would make my life 100% easier!!

  • i would buy track. where can i find it?

  • oh my god....that is awesome

  • Hey do you mind if I remix this song and post it online?

  • I just realised this is Clubwalker!!!

  • So what is this beat called? You have a name for it?

  • i never understood whats so special. about seeing a baby born until i saw this vid.

  • Where you got the Bass5 or how you make?

    can you tell me please.

    Thanks in advance

  • @bestbeat9 Sawtooth with added portamento and compression/EQ.

  • thankyou for this aswell, it was really helpful. :) I'm not too bad with melodies and synths, but i can't seem to make a decent kick and bassline

  • omg, man you make it look soo easy. Do you have a tutorial for a hard trance bassline?

  • Please make it in depth!!! Thts exactly what I need!

  • sorry, i'm a noob, but what's TSP? :P

  • can i borrow some skill?

  • can u make vec3 loop tutorial

cos i just bought it and cant make jack with the loops o.0

  • @SultanaKidStudios Open up a Fruity Slicer VST, then just drag and drop the loop sample into it. It should auto sync up to the tempo of your song.

  • @mmmburgers lol i think you mis understood

i got them all working fine

its just you make sound good in your video and when i use the loops and the special sounds it sound like shite

  • MAKE A SONG OF IT!

  • beastmode

  • thats straight dope man, good shit

  • O_o

    WHAT???

  • awesome dude

  • SWEET

  • Nice synth also you would prob get a better sound out of it with Sylenth1 as V-Station sounds a bit thin if you know what I mean. Sylenth1 is an amazing VST I reccomend it :) Sadly I only have FL and Sylenth pirated since I'm only 15 still at school. Gotta raise some money to buy them as the devs deserve the money for making such a great DAW and Synth :D

  • @HCMusicAlliance Yup, I own Sylenth1 as well, as of late it's been the only synth I use in my songs now. Also layering both a Sylenth1 saw and a V-Station saw can make some pretty fat sounds! ;)

  • @mmmburgers ooh :P Easily the best Synth I've used so far. Will defo buy FL and Sylenth when I've got the money :)

  • My support goes out to you man. i could of stremed this easily for free. but im gonna buy your album on itunes instead(: best of luck

  • vst which is that

  • @Mi3rdaDeyoutuB V-Station.

  • what is this song called?? did u ever finished it and published it??

  • @Baldwin5225 I didn't make a "full" version of this track I showed here, not yet at least. BUT during the time of recording this tutorial I was working on the track "Clubwalker" and used almost the same notes as in this one. I've uploaded a preview to Clubwalker on my channel if you want to hear.

  • Did you name this song that you were puting together because this is such an awesome song!!! :D

  • Fucking win.

  • WOW watch how fast he put that together

  • ok i want to use this type of melody with a offbeat bass what notes do i need to move in the melody?

  • Absolutely genius. What a fantastic tutorial, and a great inside look at shaping the bassline/arp. Thanks so much Clayfacer!

  • Absolutely genius. What a fantastic tutorial, and a great inside look at shaping the bassline. Thanks so much Clayfacer!

  • how do you get two patterns within the same plane and view them simultaneously but can only work on one, like you did at 4:35-5:00?

  • God dammit why didn't you fix the last half bar's worth of lead? It jumps too many semitones! the loop doesn't sync properly! Gaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......

But this is pretty cool for a demo, FL Studio does let you put out loops really fast. I use an auto-arp with cubase to do my arps, because changing the lengths of notes gives you on-time and on key arpeggio transitions and it sounds cool But so does yours! Cheers!

  • it sounds much better without the base

  • Something I really wish to ask since I don't bother going through all licenses and such is if selling songs/albums created with this software requires any special agreement/license/certification.

Could anyone answer me about his?-

  • @XxPouringRedRainxX Bro, Once you buy FL Studio, provided your good enough to make beats people would want to buy or producer an album and make money off it it's okay. If you've pirated fl studio then u can get into trouble. SO if you buy it, no, you don't need any agreements licenses certification stuff! Have fun buddy!

  • @BallinTillDeath69

Guess I'll just have to go and buy it then...Ugh, So much hard work moving my body after sitting 5 years in front of the computer without sunlight.

  • you epic cunt!

  • so what song on your album is this?

  • DUDE, Where's the download/ buy link and when? I know you're kind of messing around but not really, but this is just so entertaining to listen to

  • EARGASM!

  • totally wesome!! Congrats =]

  • how do you fo that drag and selcet highligted plzz msg me thx

  • WTF? How do you just throw it together and have something that sounds good? It's like watching a chef whip up some badass cake out basic ingredients. It seems easy enough, but when I try and do it, I end up with crap.

  • how do i go about creating the same synths? i am lost in working through the entire program trying to find how to. please help

  • how do i go about creating the same synths? i am lost in working through the entire program trying to find how to. please help

  • Just in case anybody was wondering if it actually took any talent to midi-program a song....

  • great

  • i downloaded the demo for FL studio 9 and i cannot figure it out for the life of me.

    This is amazing!

  • @penguinatorxl7 Thanks! The program is FL Studio 9, made by imageline. :D Just google imageline and you should be able to find their website!

  • @mmmburgers I love you, just saying, you are awesome sir

  • 6:20 and on was sick...

  • whered you download the TSP samples???

  • @dnkmerman Just google "Technikal Sample Pack Volume 1" and you should be able to find a online store that sells it. I bought mine from trackitdown (dot) net

  • You gotta put some side chain compression on that bitch yo

  • How'd You Learn To Do This.....Like Any Particular Tuts Or Anything?? If So Wat Tuts?

  • @97shuffler Dude this is the tut.

  • @afaiz21 I Know Tht......But This Isnt Really A Tut Its Just Showing you him Making Melody,,,,,,,,Its Still Helpful Tho

  • the bass line was so epic i might have lost control over my Bowels XD

  • the bass line was so epic i might have lost control over my Bowels XD

  • Was this made using the stock software? Or does it have some added tracks/sounds?

  • that. was. awesome!

  • I tried recreating this just so i could get the hang of FL Studio 9, but I having troubles with the levels, the kick (even when boosted) isn't that intense and I cant have the main bit too loud or else it just overshadows everything. Is it my soundcard that's just capping everything out? A response would be much appreciated :3

  • how much for your album?

  • I like this, would LOVE to have it on MP3

  • @ConspiredProductions Happy Hardcore is played at 170+ BPM, while Hard Dance/Hard Trance is 145 - 160BPM. Learn your genres before you talk, kid.

  • @mmmburgers there's no official definition for the tempo of any of those genres, shut the fuck up, why are you even looking at tutorials for fl 9 if you're apparently some expert on the subject

  • @Tranztopoleez Yes there is, try this, look at a wikipedia article for ANY genre I will garantee it will say a certain tempo. You don't hear a trance song being played at 300 bpm do you? That's what I thought. Also I MADE this video I'm not the one looking for tutorials I'm the one supplying them lol.

  • @Tranztopoleez you and that ConspiredProductions kid failed real bad haha

  • @mmmburgers agreed!

  • @mmmburgers actually happy hardcore is 160-180. anything faster is considered speedcore.

  • @mmmburgers so is this more a fusion of hardstyle and trance then? cos that would be epic!

  • @SultanaKidStudios In a way yes. It's got the melodic ness of Trance, but the tempo of a "hard" genre like hardstyle, which is around 145 - 155BPM. The result... HARD TRANCE. :D

  • what program is this and is it one of the better programs?

  • @GetReal38 theyre all as good as each other its just preference

this one just gives you the most to start witha decent range of plugins and presets

  • would protect this guy in the shower using nothing but toothpicks while a gay prison riot was in full swing, thats how awesome this vid is....

  • disgustingly awesome indeed. i wish you had a track this long with the finished product, this put me in the best mood from a very bad one, with ease!

well done a thousand times over, fuckkkk

  • That's awesome. Please make more tutorials. I tried my hand at FLS my freshman year of college but just couldn't get the swing of things on my own. Having a guide like this would be wonderful.

  • perfect melody man keep it up

  • Damn I love that. You good, good sound, good music, good style :) Haters should not even considering commenting.

  • i hate this kind of music but this is really good dude you have mad skills i could not stop listening to it.

  • i don't really like this type of songs, but your skills are incredible

  • u own

  • Stumbleupon Wins. Now I have more awesome music to listen to! And a tutorial to boot!! Thanks, man~

  • @Umury7 Don't like it? Then don't listen to it, problem solved.

  • Comment removed

  • @Umury7 Disgustingly awesome?

  • @Umury7 you don't like it? well, see the X in the top right corner? click it :D

  • at 06:42 I was smiling without noticing :D

you're a real talent man.. how can i get your albums

  • This SHOULD be called "first pumping goodness in under 10 mins."

  • wondering if you have finished this tutorial and made it a song x.x

  • I was impressed within the first minute, but you kept making it better!

  • You should buy VEC... :)

  • @HotHoy43 I have. ;)

  • @mmmburgers Ok ;) Good

  • Yes, I agree with the people saying they want a download link. Flesh the track out a bit more, then let us download! (Possibly in both keys...? The lower one you started with, then the higher one?) :D

  • You just earned a new subscriber.

  • You should probably use your video editing software to cut out all the time you spent tinkering w/ your lead. Also, FLS really does suck, not hating on what you did, but FLS /really/ does suck... a lot. Try Ableton, it sounds way better and you can do far more things w/ it. Nice work man.

  • @bauditlad Actually you can do just as much in ableton as you can in FLS. When it comes to DAW's it's all about personal preference, because at the end of the day it's not the DAW that makes it sound "professional" it's the producer himself who is able to achieve that.

  • Quite true. Really enjoyed seeing your method!

  • @bauditlad Frankly, I liked seeing all of that. It's nice seeing the creative process and it's good to know that perfection doesn't just pop up immediately.

  • Dude. Where the hell can I get this track? It sounds so fucking good.

  • I'm... rendered speechless

  • I'm gonna say, I've never really had a good example at making this kind of music, and the stuff StumbleUpon USUALLY takes me to is generally uninformative. But this is an excellent view of what is needed to compose a good guide.

  • Born of pure awesome.

  • Thats Unreal :o

  • This is actually really amazing. Just so you know. Best stumble I've had in a while haha. What software do you use? I want to get my hands on that...

  • duuude! so awesome!

  • What Key Signature is this in?

  • this is fucking epic! love it!

  • Thank you StumbleUpon for introducing me to EPIC trance music!!

  • VERY good, you got skills, most FL people i know can't do that that quick. Make an album! I <3 happy hxc

  • happy ending dude! awesome...

  • hmm. its awesome but you could get it to be your own if you make this into a midi file and import it into proppellerhead's reason software. (i use fl to create the melody and i use reason5 for the sounds) you know , to give it that awesome proffesional touch. im favoriting this :)

  • ANTHEM!! Love it. Thumbs up for this 1.

  • OMG *dead*
