  • So true. sadly, with each new generation, students are becoming stupider

  • where is the website you used to create this video?

  • This is so true.

  • Omg, I am a Student In high school and when that STUPID STUDENT walks in and just treats a teacher like they are nothing and just wasting their time it annoys me, it's like they think they are there to serve them and they are entitled to everything. I literally make it my goal to get at them for my teacher's sake, they are people to and don't deserve half this crap.

  • Public school is tough. This is misleading.

  • @rwskiller5 tuff compared to what? private or catholic school...much harder

  • @rwskiller5 Really? I went to public school and I got into an Ivy League college.

  • Lmaooo ! All this girl gonna do is just fail ! . ahaa.

  • Public School Days with Miss Clark

  • @usherman30059 Somewhere along the way people stopped recognizing the value of effort and began preaching potential, but without hard work that's all it ever is: potential.

  • this is so true. i am a school teacher. society has given students too many excuses... as well as some parents. people who don't teach or know teachers have NO IDEA what goes on in the classroom.

  • @jasmineblossom84 Love this! Thanks.... it IS what we go through everyday. In response to the negative feedback you've received: If the shoe fits.....

  • I really hate people who go and criticize teachers like that. This video is a very accurate portrayel. I've just graduated from high school, and witnessed this happening quite a bit. As for those who try to mention the "perks", you should know how much is expected from them. Most of my teachers had to stay after school just to finish all the crap the school board madates from them, and try to give students extra help. And those who didn't had to take their work and finish it at home.

  • @leonardoavalos1 All for a starting wage that does not even put you in the middle class, at least by CA standards where a middle class salary is thought to start at about 44k.

  • this is so true, from the student point of view. All the students in my lower level classes are idiots.

  • I taught for years and I never do it anymore. This is very accurate, the greatest teachers are the ones who dont want to babysit doosh bags anymore. People are accountable for there own actions, your boss wont care about 504s or IEPs..this business is fucked...anyone in it, get a corporate job and sit in a cubicle.

  • @actuary33 You taught, but you can't or won't use correct punctuation or spelling? I think my profession is better off without you in it.

  • @batty612 not sure what you're referring to, but, ok...

  • @actuary33 thats what i did. 2 years is all it took to see what a waste of a bachelor's degree i had. never again.

  • @SimplySatisfiedSarah Amen...so glad someone else sees the truth...what a waste it was and I would give anything to do it again...I should go into meet the student teachers and tell them...RUN!! lolol...want to join me?

  • Love this satyrical video of teaching in public schools! I've been teaching for over 20 years in a variety of fields and it has been sad to watch situations like this becoming more common place. Kids not willing to put forth the minimum of effort, parents unavailable to raise and support their kids; both ready to burn any educator at the stake. If you need a retake for your driver's license exam, do you have to pay for it again? Does t the DMV go over the modifications in 504s so they can pass?

  • @ jasmineblossom84 " I like how quick people are to judge people they have never even met and know absolutely nothing about. Best of luck with that attitude." This is your quote from an earlier post. Funny how it's ok for you to judge. OUCH! LMAO!!!

  • Wow I was a shitty student!

  • @jasmineblossom84 So glad to hear you're not a teacher with your comments filled with name calling and lies, please stay focused and to the point. You posted a video with the teacher WHINING. All the teachers I know love the great pay, schedule and all the vacation time but you FAILED to include the perks in your video.

  • @oviedorush First of all, it's not whining, since I do not even work in public schools, because, I know how it is from everyone around me who does. Secondly, it's an accurate depiction of the state of American education. Thirdly, what is your stake in this? Did teachers treat you badly, when you were in school or something? So much bitterness from someone who seemingly doesn't even know what they are talking about...

  • @jasmineblossom84 Hi teacher, i'm not you're student but I earn straight A's rarley B's. Well i'd say don't listen to these soon to be worthless homeless drunks. And if your job is easy, good! You worked hard as a kid and you deserve the rest. TO THE STUPID KIDS: Sadly being a teacher isn't easy; it might seem stupid that coming from a student stating that teachers have tough jobs, trust me; they do.

  • @jasmineblossom84 Teachers have never taught me crap. Everything important I have learned was from ME and only ME.

  • @oviedorush Most urban teachers go through worse situations then this. If you want to fix public schools, all research shows social class is everything. Rich kids do great in school in comparisons, along with the middle class. Lower middle, working class and poor are most likely not to graduate or attend college. If you want to fix the schools, fix the parents!

  • @sandyadventures It doesn't cross your mind that the teachers and funding available to poorer schools plays any role in this?

Also, our society doesnt try and fix poor people, it just ignores them.

  • @oviedorush Ignorance. You have obviously never taught.

  • @jasmineblossom84 Pensions out the ass. Teachers are spoiled brats.

  • @jasmineblossom84 "I do not even work in public schools" your quote from another post. still laughing at that one!

  • @oviedorush yeah. except that I have taught in them, in the past...dunno why you are still even commenting on my video. If I am such an idiot, seems like you wouldn't be so obsessed with my video. haha.

  • @oviedorush Many are leaving the profession....soon...if you want a Math or Science Teacher.....we will be auctioning our services.......you won't find one under 100K....if you lived in S. Korea....first for education...you'd already be paying 150 to 200K

  • This is why I no longer teach.

  • Not realistic for the school district I am in. Not all, but some teachers take hour long or more lunches and also get many parent volunteers to cover recess duty for them. There is absolutely no tutoring offered. If your child has a question about any subject after school, it will be $50 for every 30 minutes of help or questions answered that they need.

  • @katlam15 Good. That's how it should be.

  • @jasmineblossom84

    What the hell... that's ridiculous

  • @jasmineblossom84 Are you joking?

  • @jasmineblossom84 That teachers live like kings? I have had very few teachers who care as much about their students like then your video. Most public school teachers are lazy as hell.... they don't teach at all.. They just need to be present and not touch the students. And for the few teachers who do ofter tutoring, they DO get compensation. Teachers are getting paid to do their jobs, so why should parents do the job for them? And why should they get multiple lunches a day?

  • @angelifyification I have had very few teachers who care as much about their students like the teacher in your video.***

  • @jasmineblossom84 Thats how it should be? You are one lazy bum.

  • @katlam15 Where are you and do they have any openings?

  • @katlam15 Is your district hiring? Here in Oakland, CA the lunch is 30 minutes, we get one 50 minute paid preparation period per week, we stay after school to lesson plan, counsel/tutor students and to make contact with parents, not for any additional pay but based on communistic good will as it is unpaid and solely for the benefit of society.

  • @katlam15 What planet is your school district on?

  • @katlam15 You must work in a district where the parents have enough money and free time to actually pay for tutoring and come and volunteer and the school has a small enough number of students that the teacher can have an hour for lunch - i.e. not most districts most people work in.

  • @katlam15 Wow! What school is this?? I'd like to transfer. How much do they pay their teachers. I haven't gotten a raise in 4 years, pay more for health insurance and don't get the bonus money they promised us. We are also tutoring for 30 minutes every day with no extra compensation, have duties during the day and after school with a 25 minute lunch (during which we sometimes have duty too).

  • @katlam15 That's exactly the way things should be. An hour lunch is well-needed and deserved. They are not being paid to tutor. That's another job, and they should be paid for it.

  • so in texas if you fail an exam, you can write it again the next day?

you don't have to repeat the course if you failed??

  • @khashya786786 Yes.

  • @khashya786786 The Texas miracle in education!

  • Wow, is all that I can say. We must do a better job at home and at school.

It's very important to help individuals understand the value of education...even if it is getting a high school diploma.

With the economy the way that it is, they will need it.

  • @TheTutorGuru Exactly.

  • @TheTutorGuru A high school degree doesn't mean crap.

  • @XxlivinwithitxX Well, it's obvious you don't know much. High schools give diplomas...not degrees. But geeze, if you had a degree, you'd know the difference.

  • @tbscrazy12 I am a high school teacher, clearly getting paid .75 a child per hour to try to convince them they need to learn something they don't give a crap about makes me a baby sitter. The video above is spot one. Many of us would love for the kids to have the route to become skilled laborers, but the state of Texas penalizes your school for every child that graduates on the minimum plan. Direct your snarky remarks towards TEA and the state board of education.

  • @JDR78759 *applauds*

  • if i was a teacher i would get the parents invovled teachers cant hit but parents can

  • @thearbiter221 Haha!

  • @tbscrazy12: If you think this video is saying that the only way to make it in this world is to get a degree, you have missed the entire point of the video. I like how quick people are to judge people they have never even met and know absolutely nothing about. Best of luck with that attitude.

  • Actually, the above is grammatically very sound.

  • @BeirutBang Thanks, BeirutBang!

  • What kind of a test gives a 30 as passing grade ? back in my day we had to get a 60 just to get a D- dam no child left behind laws. it screwing kids out of a decent education.!

also you need to re edit your description take out the "a" and change "friend to friends". otherwise the grammar nazis will take you away.!
