  • And BTW, yes there are two sides to the stiry. This is very true. But to say that your youth was an excuse. Not acceptable. The bible says that "The strength of God lies with the youth..." So that explaination is out the window. I am not judging you @ all (not yet @ least). But from one Soke to the next, the development of your students come first before your own. Just as your wife should be second only to Christ and before yourself and your children.

  • @marlonphillips I never said anything about my age. I was a hart broken Man who needed help. So since I could not continue I did the next best thing. I sold to students who wanted to teach and I don't regret that because there still there. BTW Frazier than Riviera is agreed. AS far as what I did for or because of my students. Only I and they know and believe me my conscience is clear. The Moran statement was out of line, I never reply with malice. Best Wishes Jerry Fontanez.

  • @ JerryFontanez I never said they weren't your top fighters. I use to (and still do) look up to those two. Frazier (hands down) was your best and Rivera was second only to Frazier. But, life moves on.

  • Otherwise I would not have the Family that I have now, who really care about me! FYI My X Wife once told me that she didn't feel special because I treated everyone like that. If you really know me than you know what she meant. Hey I had a great run and had to reinvent myself. In the 80's fighter,90's schools, REK Suits since 97 and now I'm on my next mission. You can't go forward while looking back! Hey Excel and Kaizen Karate (Formally Fontanez) are doing great! I'm proud of them! Good luck!

  • 1997 is when I sold the school to two my Black Belts. I thought that was the best thing to do. I was not happy with my life and needed to regroup. I hope that it doesn't happen to you! Hey, maybe you know what happened to the 2 big pictures of me on the walls. To this day I don't know what happened to them. I would assume they where destroyed but nobody has ever told me. BTW Frazier and Rivera where my 2 Top fighters. I was a young man who had a ton pressure on me AND I GAVE UP! Thank God I Did

  • Boy you are a moron. I happen to be a Soke myself under the USMA. I didn't just go to one of your schools. I was there training with you personally many times @ the Zerega location. One of the best fighter there mind you. I was there when you sold the school and told no one until it became Excel. If I didn't know you then tell me how do I know about the situation with Efrain Feliciano. How do I know that Gene Frazier has his own school and was always a far better instructor and fighter than you?

  • @marlonphillips I wrote more on the channel. Take care best wishes and sorry If I did something to you personally or otherwise. Just remember there's always at least 2 sides to a story.

  • Real sport Karate, huh? I trained under "fast feet" as a kid. How be it that all his instructors were better than he was. Not to mention I surpassed them all once I left his school. I was 16 when I left. Point karate is good for training not for practical use. He calls himself a "grandmaster". But a grand master of what? Not hating on fast feet at all. However, his focus was never on his students. It was always about what he could do. And obviously it is still like that. How's the Phoenix Form?

  • @marlonphillips LOL So I was not a good Instructor? My students were better than me but I couldn't teach? The Style and curriculum was created by me not my students. That makes me the Founder/Creator/Soke and Yes Grand Master Of The Fontanez Karate Success System. This group here in Puerto Rico are now the Top Fighters. As far as my focus was how would you know? You went to one of my schools that doesn't mean you knew me or know me. FYI None of my students EVER WON AS MUCH OR FOR AS LONG AS me.

  • Real sport karate? really? one three letters W...K...F... now thats real sport karate.
