i definitely will get XP installed in mine, but the question is, should I get the SSD or HDD version?

does the tweaked (disabled unneeded services) aspire SSD -yours- perform satisfactorily? I'm plannig to use it for office, firefox, and light gaming.

Im a bit rough with my notebooks hence I want the peace of mind when using SSD

I think the ssd version pushes almost 3 hours, while the hdd gets a little over 2, maybe 2.5.

Yes, the 6-cell is on sale separately or bundled with the aspire one. It's much more expensive if you buy it separately, so buy it bundled with the aspire if you think you'll need the extra battery life. Some users complain that the 6-cell battery limits the viewing angle, however.
