Most performers have ZERO tolerance for things being thrown at them. Even though this lady handled it with aplomb, that is one of the worst things an audience member can do. It was only bread, but you should NEVER throw things at the stage.

That's not conveying the idea that they dislike her because she is female, but rather that she just didn't have particularly good material.
