How are these "good" endings? If you choose a woman over your father you are doomed to eternal suffering when (not if) he breaks his prison, pretty sure even death wont save you from a demon lord..

I don't really understand why people think these endings are non-satisfying. The plot of the game is directly tied with Heroes of might and magic 5 and its expansions. After all that you have to do in HOMM5, to have a REAL power to change the world, to undo all good deeds or not to do it. That's nice conclusion to the story. oh and Xana rocks :D
I wish leanna and xana could get along and then you could free your father without them three fighting that would be badass both leanna and xana you and your father ;D

and by the way,the second time i chose to play the game i left leanna live,but in the epilogue,while we were walking,she suddenly died and i didn't lose,but when i went to that necromancer guy,he completely ignored me and i couldn't end the game,so i began all over again,i'm in the 4th chapter right now :'(
Hm. which one. Leanna has: -Help you through one chapter -Try to kill you for who you are -You have rescued her two times and all you get is like "Oh thanks for helping me, Sareth." Xana has/does: - Helped you through almost the entire game -Loves you for who you are -Brought you back from the dead -Lend you her aswesome powers -Striped nude for you twice -Nearly litteraly said she will do every sick and twisted sexdream you ever had untill your brain melts. I want Dark Messiah 2. Being able to choose the side of Kha Beleth or good. Maybe the game have 2 beginnings, in a battle against demons or demons against humans/elves/dwarves whatever they would put into it. I WANT 2!

When I first played this game, I chose Ending 4. I couldn't betray my dear father :p
Why Sareth have to fight the necromancers? They want to keep Kha Beleth imprisoned, sure they want to sacrifice a Stonehelm for that but the end justifies the means.
What I really didn't like about this game is how it's not nearly as epic as previous games. Sareth is such a weakling. In past Might and Magic games, your characters could become godly with awesome spells like Armageddon that could flatten entire cities.
In this game, the most powerful spell you get is basically a flamethrower that drains your mana in 10 seconds.
If this is "Dark Messiah" of Might and Magic, what the fuck was the other Dark Messiah of?? Wish they'd have been a bit more creative with the title. And I expect some clever "Know it all" twats gonna try and take the piss, replying to my comment with some argumentative explanation, to answer my question. Well, come on then, lets be having ya!

Ending 2 (in my point of view) : The Betrayal. Xana persuades Sareth to keep the skull for himself with promises of conquering the world. Sareth,as a demon, blinded by his greed,banishes his father forever,but the ruthless succubus kills him and takes over the world for herself.
Ending 3 : The Blood Reckoning. Sareth got rid of his demonic nature but "from greed or fear" decides to let his father free. Kha Beleth takes over the world and kills Sareth as he could never trust him again.
Ending 1 : The Good Ending.Sareth prooves himself a son of Isabelle and thus a spirit of light despite his demonic background. The forces of evil are defeated and he marries Leanna.Together,they heal the wounds of the world open for more than a century.
Ending 4 : The Evil Ending. You give Kha Beleth his freedom along with the freedom of all demon kind.Thus,they conquer the world and all Ashan sinks into darkness,fire and chaos.The End of the World (depressing,isnt it?)
Man this is the only game where I was impressed by the female lead Xana. I mean, you don't get much chance hanging around with succubus girls in other games, so this one felt really unique. Great game but ending could have been better.
There should have been an ending in which you killed the demon (your ''father'') and (if your doing it for evil) take his power and place or if your doing if for good simply kill the demon and end the demonic threat forever.
Well if you think about magic is just energy, one that you can change according to desire
Sareth was trained in all forms of the magical arts (other then the dark arts i suppose) so he should have been able to use its power, (Not to mention he hade the blessing of pure light)
When you go to the church to purge Xana (i assume) the 7th dragon speaks to you and tells you hes given you a gift of ''Pure light''
Magic is much like energy that bends to ones will, If you want it to be fire, It will turn into fire however you need a will as strong as the object your trying to summon
However sareth would not have needed to summon the energy mearly contain and direct it which does not take much.
you can do like this,at least i did:kill leanna in the spider pit,and when arantir is dead you take the skull but then put it back so sareths father stays inprisoned and you rule the world world with xana.

I am so bad :> I killed leanna while she was in the web, and after I did noclip to get into the church and purged myself from xana. After that I killed Leanna again as zombie, and did not give the skull to father just to piss him off.

The most realistic I would say is that Xana lives, Sareth frees his father. I mean, who wants to be a demon, and then hang out with a priest or some shit?

Anyway, I never got to see Xana in person, other then in cut scenes. When does she turn into a human?

Haa, why not just kill them, get the skull and then ressurrect a "nice" Xana lol xD.

Man this is the only game where I was impressed by the female lead Xana. I mean, you don't get much chance hanging around with succubus girls in other games, so this one felt really unique. Great game but ending could have been better.

There should have been an ending in which you killed the demon (your ''father'') and (if your doing it for evil) take his power and place or if your doing if for good simply kill the demon and end the demonic threat forever.

Also about the skull...
Remember you know as much about the dragon skull as "Sareth" Other than break it, would you know how to use its power...?

Well if you think about magic is just energy, one that you can change according to desire
Sareth was trained in all forms of the magical arts (other then the dark arts i suppose) so he should have been able to use its power, (Not to mention he hade the blessing of pure light)

When you go to the church to purge Xana (i assume) the 7th dragon speaks to you and tells you hes given you a gift of ''Pure light''
Magic is much like energy that bends to ones will, If you want it to be fire, It will turn into fire however you need a will as strong as the object your trying to summon
However sareth would not have needed to summon the energy mearly contain and direct it which does not take much.

you can do like this,at least i did:kill leanna in the spider pit,and when arantir is dead you take the skull but then put it back so sareths father stays inprisoned and you rule the world world with xana.

I very much doubt that, She was the catalyst for the redemption of sareth and from the impresion i get in the game, She really liked him.

You cant really blame her for putting up an ''We'r doing the good thing!'' attitude since they were fighting necromancers and later trying to stop a demon plot..

yeah the endings are exactly the same wth just like 1 line diferent, and a diff person. plus its so short, its hardly an epilogue... in my opinion the ending kind of lets the game down

this is one of the best games i ever played...it's just too short...i completed it in like 3 days xD

I am so bad :> I killed leanna while she was in the web, and after I did noclip to get into the church and purged myself from xana. After that I killed Leanna again as zombie, and did not give the skull to father just to piss him off.

Download steam, make a steam account. Then install the DArk messiah multiplayer on steam and you can play. You need the serial code!
When you are on steam press Games - Activate a game on steam. Then just type in the serial code and you can play it online!

I know all about steam. But i did'nt think you needed the game installed on steam. I got it installed but not on steam. Im updating now. Thank you. Singleplayer was becoming boring :( So i wanna try Multiplayer. 2 Min and update is done :D Thank you !

Its not hard being evil there, because you just bring that skull to your father... (Or if you mean killing Leana, she just pissed me off and Xana saved my life, so... :D)
In Mass Effect its much worse, because you can do evil choices there and thats too much for me :) So I always play "the nice guy" :D

The most realistic I would say is that Xana lives, Sareth frees his father. I mean, who wants to be a demon, and then hang out with a priest or some shit?
I called Leanna a wench and cut her head off. Xana was proud :)
Anyway, I never got to see Xana in person, other then in cut scenes. When does she turn into a human?
