I see that you are using an old cross ink pen as a fid or marlin spike. cool idea. easier than making a huge sewing needle and pulling the extra tab thru.
@jonesm16 since I made that comment, I found that they are called "perma lock crafting needles". but you could use a metal bodied 2 piece ink pen and improvise I suppose. I am waiting for black friday weekend to be over to get some supplies in town before I use my set up.
@BornRandy62 yes, thats the style of the brass one best for turks heads and prying cuz of the flat head and length; the steel ones I sell are smaller but still perfect for paracord
@jrdecker83 I've got vids on all the parts; like the 4 strand round braid, the two strand diamond knots (on the end; and the turks head sliding bead - so its not likely with all I have planned that I'll do it soon. I'll add to the list though. thanks for watching!
@ylwstn63 you just have to stick with the 'rules' I laid out; some passes won't over under, some will over two, under two, some will just go over because the previous pass is "under"...., the even peg versions are much quicker to do because there are lots of just "over" passes

Thanks for this video series, it's definitely the easiest to understand when trying to learn how to weave this particular knot. I only have one question: When will we see a video by little Em? She's absolutely adorable!
@kevingg2000 Great! I'm trying to learn how to make a unique looking handle for hiking sticks. I think this is exactly what I was looking for. I remember seeing handles like this back when I was in boy scouts. Always liked 'em. Going to try the hatchet too...thanks!
Probably the most easy to understand video on YouTube can't wait for part 4 I pretty much understand how to do it but I can't figure out how to finish it and tuck it so that it looks clean
What type of brass needle are you using? I notice it looks similar to the knitting variety, but haven't seen any where the cord is held flushly inside the non-pointy end. Interesting.
@njoehawkeye google angelfire skateworld to find a link where a guy makes some, I can't vouch for it though (mine was made by a friend that I've lost touch with)
i really really need your help. please help me. i'm tying a lanyard for the sheath of my trench hawk. i'm wanting to do a rattlesnake braid at the top then do a monkey fist at the bottom. which one do i start with first? any advice?
You said to always go over the first, but if I do the opposite of the other so I go under, did it screw up???

@RickyBricks86 start with the monkey's fist first; you'll have two ends coming out. do the snake weave from those two ends, make sense?
