This match was one of a handful I will always remember with: England-Brazil in 1970, England-Holland in Euro 96, France-Germany semi-final in 82, and Czechoslovakia-W Germany in Belgrade in 76.

Incredible match. As someone else have written here, after this match I was very pro-Czech. They played so good football, and they should have won the Euro 2004. But the injury on Nedved in match against Greece was to hard a blow. Fantastic team and will go down in history as the best match I've ever seen
@Wiplala100 sorry if i was offensive.i agree with you that football withouy attack is nothing you are right.i just want you to understand that greece didnt win euro because of its defense.i have seen all of our matches and i can freely tell you that greece wasnt all the time in defence but she had many good chances if you can see in extra time of the match greece-czech greek players were playing attack and the same happened in all of her games
@Wiplala100 antifootball is what inter played with barcelona last year.greece had very good chances.my team wasnt only in defence.if we had played antifootball we wouldnt have scored 7 goals in that euro
@Wiplala100 In modern football,sometimes you need to adjust your formation and your tactics to your opponents' ones.No one did that year,and it came at a price.My country,Greece,did not show any spectacular skills,nor did they play in a fan-admirable way,but they believed more in themselves.Reminds me of the good old days that the strongest one did not always win.And by the way,Greece did not initiate a new defensive style of play.Check AC Milan's formation strategy in season 2002-3 to verify.

This is the best game of all time! In 2004 we had the best team in the world. I will not mention specific names, because you most certainly know, but then did not care to name, but in their hearts that those players were great. It was a nice time and nice to remember them ... I hope to return one of those times
My favourite game of the tournament, along with Portugal - England! Funny thing was, during this game, I was taking an exam at university and somewhere in the middle, the professor got an sms, didn't say a word, stood up and wrote the result on the board.
What frustrated me is that I tried to get tickets for this game but shortly after The Netherlands and Czech Republic were drawn together, it was impossible for me to find any, and this stadium is 30 minutes from where I live, meh...
I remember this as one of the best games i´ve seen with a young robben, a great davids, a top shaped baros, effective koller, nedved, van nistelroy and so much more. Both teams were attacking from start and I agree with those who say football should be played like this. Much cred and respect to czech and holland, I wish sweden could play like this but we have a shit team and a scared coach who loves defense

Both teams went all out to score, and the fans got very good value for their money. There hasn't been another Euro match quite like this one. The full match video should be released to the public as a all-time classic and shown as an example of how good football can be.
Everything was smooth sailing until Advocaat chickened out and brought Robben to the side. Really, without that sub... Czech wouldn't have won. They didn't have a grip on the left wing.
This video has only goals but the game had so much more to offer. It was an offensive feast. Could have easily ended 8:5 for either side. The Dutch scored so early on but Koller had a 100% chance before that plus Jankulovski had a great shot. All in first two minutes and it just never stopped. Both teams played to score. Paradise for fans. We, the Czechs, were not better nor worse than the Dutch. We were the lucky ones that day.
